In occasional games - yes. Average per season? Never.
After the All-Star break he averaged 14-4-3. I think it's fair to say he can easily improve those numbers.

Maybe this off season we will get a real shooting coach and our shooting will show a slight improvement for once. Hornacek=great shooter but not a decent shooting coach.
Well I don't know about that. Jeff did a pretty good job making Kirilenko ten times the shooter than he was before.

Usually the third year is when a player breaks out if they have all star potential. Outside of three point shooting, Hayward improved enough from his rookie year to give me optimism. If some of you want to rip him for his poor performance against the Spurs, its your choice, but pretty much everyone except Favors sucked just as bad.
Remember the scene in Hoosiers before the championship game when Gene Hackman had his team measure the height of the rim and then the distance from the foul line to the baseline?
Confidence, confidence, confidence.
Hayward looked exactly like he did in December - trying to make the perfect shot and then hanging his head when he didn't. He needs to trust his skills and forget about everything else. He'll be fine - we all saw him mature as the season went on - now we just have to wait for him to mature as he gets more playoff experience.
Anyway, this is why I wanted the Jazz to make the playoff while they were still on the way up - this way guys like Hayward, Burks, Favors and Kanter can get a taste while the expectations were low.
Agreed.
I think his shooting issue is our offense. He seldom played well when it was Feed Al...stand...watch.
He scored a lot and often when we ran a motion offense, P&R and did not just feed the bigs.
This is 100% correct. As long as Al gets fed the ball, and then takes 10 seconds to do something with it, our wings will struggle. Hayward was great in the postseason for Butler, and I believe he will be again next time for Utah. He also will continue to get better at creating his own shot, and hopefully sooner than later, will earn respect from the officials so that when he gets fouled at the ends of games, they will call it. I envision him and Favors becoming an incredible pick and roll punch, cuz Harris I just don't think will ever be great at it. This is why I would approve a Steve Nash signing. Favors could be a dominant roller.
