Grayson Allen predictions

He has but AB has been very inconsistent in delivering.

No he hasn’t what have you been watching. He has been inconsistent because the reins have been on tight with him. All he did was just sit at the three point line trying to be a shooter, that’s not his game, but obviously coach Q is telling him what he can and can’t do. He just needs to instruct him to go nuts!! Idiot!!

Nah he has been jacking up long 2s, that was his game for a while after the injury. Considering his percentage at the rim isn't that good. He is better served as a shooter with a threat to penetrate.

I predict GA will average 10mpg in the season, but will get some quality time in the playoffs.
He will do a little of everything when he plays. His shot will start off weak and inconsistent, but will progressively get better.
He will be involved in 5 dustups, 3 kerfuffles, 1 shennanigan, 1 face off, 2 fracas, and 4 rowdydow's.
He will not trip a single NBA player, on purpose.
He will make one "game winner".
He will be the recipient of at least one cheap shot.
He will be a fan favorite.
He will average 5 ppg in the season and 9 ppg in the playoffs.
He will average 3 apg.
His hand pads will be something to be feared.
He will become Quin's padowan, and will favor us with a Grayson's Hands Murderface at least once. I hope it's on camera.

I also predict the number of "hand pad" jokes will exceed the Trey Lyles "balance beam" jokes... and I'm here for all of them.

I'm geeked for the season to start... just bought preseason tickets for Jazz Sacramento... waiting for opening night seats to drop in price, but will be there too. It. Is. So. Close.

Burks had a pretty good season and had great numbers in the playoffs for having played limited minutes overall. As many have said over the years, he doesn't fit in our offense.

I think how much Allen plays partially depends on how dominant the Jazz are this season. If we're up 20+ in the 4th there will be games when Allen gets 15-20 minutes a game. If the games are closer Allen could be seeing single digit minutes unless someone's injured/in foul trouble or if Allen happens to contribute where Snyder can't ignore the awesome play of GA.

At 9 AST and 15 PTS per 30 min for his rookie season could we possibly have a replacement for Ricky next season? Trade Ricky's salary for a big FA?

Wait?? Allen is better then Rubio and Exum now, at this rate Allen will be #1 on jazzfanz **** list by mid season because you idiots are putting unreal expectations. Mitchell has created a monster. Lol

Idiots!!!

We should all be hoping that Ricky keeps on his current trajectory and signs his next contract with the Jazz. No doubts. The dude is vital to our best possible results.

With the way he's been playing I probably agree. But if Exum and Allen(and dare I say Burks) play extremely well we could be in a very enviable position.

Hey, why not? I blame Quin.

I think Grayson plays similar against experienced NBA level talent as he did in summer league. Sounds crazy, I know.

It's a good thing Quin has the respect of his team because he's going to have a tough job dealing minutes.

He’s extension eligible and has been here most of the offseason... I’m hoping that I’m not in for a letdown but I think we will know in the first month or two... I think we can wait on the extension until like mid-season. Might be good to wrap him up now and make our FA acquisition through a trade using expirings. I also think if Dante flashes and stays healthy he’s a good trade chip.

Going to be an interesting season... I think the next 12 months there will be some significant roster reshaping. I’m fairly sure we keep Ricky one way or another and have high hopes for him.

Hopefully he fits in better and is more efficient because of it.

When the team was healthy AB was getting zero minutes per game. DNP’s

It's a dream to expect perfect health all year though. What I mean is I think Grayson will get the minutes AB got last year when players inevitably get banged up. I think Grayson will most likely be 11th or 12th in the rotation.

I see the rotations like this..

C: Gobert/Favors/Udoh/Bradley
PF: Favors/Crowder/Sefolosha/Niang
SF: Ingles/Sefolosha/Crowder/O'neale
SG: Mitchell/O'neale/Allen/AB
PG: Rubio/Exum/Mitchell/Neto/Allen

So something like....
Starters
C Gobert
PF Favors
SF Jingles
SG Mitchell
PG Rubio

Rotation
C Udoh
PF Crowder
SF Sefolosha
SG O'neale
PG Exum
11 Allen
12 Neto

Reserves
13 Niang
14 AB
15 Bradley

Since this is a prediction thread I might as well ask for some over or unders.

Attempted trippings: 3
Actual trippings: 1
Altercations: 7
Altercations where he's physically touched: 3
Temper tantrums: 2
Sub of the game: 9
Scores of the court: 13
Injuries: 2
Missed games due to injuries: 10
Technical fouls: 7

Udoh and Neto won't be in the rotation if Grayson gets minutes.

I think Crowder and Thabo get the backup PF minutes... Royce gets 20 minutes at backup SF/Wing... Exum picks up 20 minutes as the 3rd guard and Allen gets maybe 8-10 minutes.

I also think Thabo will be eased in and was more of an addition for the playoffs. Expect his regular season minutes to be really limited when we are full strength. He is also a great culture guy... just don't think he plays a ton.

Gives us a 9 man rotation. Most teams don't go too much farther than that and we have 3 guys (Royce, Exum, Crowder) which should all get 20+ minutes off the bench imo. Not much left for others... but the good news is I think every guy can play and give us something when called on.
