My highly sophisticated sarcasm mechanism must be broken. How about this: I DON'T GIVE A <BLEEP> ABOUT THE TANK
And BTW, Karl Malone (13th pick), John Stockton (16th pick), the 2 guys for which many of us are here in the 1st place.
I want a high pick too, but I'm okay with them winning. I expect their youth and lack of a bench to hurt more than it helps this year, but they're definitely getting better. And learning to play together as a team. Eventually, they're going to get tired. Quin is working them hard, and 82 games is a long stretch to keep that up.
The Jazz have assets that they can use to make a move if one is available. Also, over the past 5 seasons. . . Klay Thompson (12), Kawhi Leonard (15), Giannis Antetokounmpo (15), Jimmy Butler (30), Eric Bledsoe (18), Rudy Gobert (27) and Kenneth Faried (21) were all drafted outside of the top 10 - all of these players are looking like Max level starters or anchor players for their teams (and yes - I'm going to include Gobert with this group. He's only barely scratching his surface as s player.)
Along with those top level guys, Nikola Vucevic (16), Mason Plumlee (22), Alec Burks (12), Shabazz Muhammad (14), Nikola Mirotic (23), Reggie Jackson (24), MCW (11), Dennis Schroeder (17), Gorgiu Dieng (21), Tim Hardaway, Jr. (24), Zach LaVine (13), Dario Saric (12), Rodney Hood (22), T. J. Warren (14) and Jordan Adams (22) are all guys that were drafted outside the top 10 that have looked pretty good for their respective teams. There's talent throughout the draft. The key is to scout your *** off and draft well wherever you pick.
