I get MRIs fairly regularly, usually wait 3-5 months to get an appointment. I have been waiting 5 months now that we moved back to Utah, and my appointment has been moved on me 3 times.A few years back I desperately needed rheumatologist so I got a referral and 8 months later they called me telling me there was an appointment available. So glad I don't have to wait in long lines.
When we lived in Germany, you know horrible evil "socialized medicine", my wife needed an MRI on her hip. She was in the office getting it done within 3 days. We never saw a wait longer than maybe a week to get into any doctor we needed to visit while we were there. Neurologist for my son? In the next day. PT for my wife? Same day. Orthopedic surgeon for me? 1 week. I have not seen a closer appointment than a full month in the states for the past maybe 10 years. We spend the most on healthcare and have some of the worst outcomes in the developed world. It is a travesty. And now Trump is gearing up to gut Medicaid so Musk can get a payday. What the **** is wrong with everyone?
