What's new

i'm quite disgusted with the NBA refs tonight turning a blind eye to westbrook's actions.

Maybe I should just post a ton of porn to Jazzfanz. Is that what Bulletproof would do? That's not nearly as bad as having your own opinion.

Yall I'm terribly sorry for having my own opinion on a message board. It must be super inconvenient to actually have to discuss something that goes against how you see something.

I will just follow Bulletproof's example and just post a bunch of porn on a family site, because that's what forums are for.

Lmao. Your opinion is fine. The problem is your blasting the opinions of everyone else.

This is so dumb....

I really cant believe people are making this out to be a "star" thing. It isnt. It's a 'its the ****ing playoffs" thing.

I didn’t know there were different sets of rules... my bad.

Letter of the law... it’s a game suspension spirit of the law it’s a suspension... if they came out and said “hey this is a stupid rule and we will adjust it... it’s done enough damage” then I’m cool... it’s the look the other way BS.

And the bigger point, which I think you're alluding to and that others have alluded to is that certain players and certain markets will always be on the winning side of these inconsistent interpretations of the rules while the Jazz and other small market teams in general will always be on the losing side.

So it's not "no big deal" it's actually a very very big deal. If the rules are used in a way to always advantage the NBA darlings and big markets and to disadvantage the worker bee players and small markets then the rules are complete and utter ********.

It’s not even that... they decided to suspend Draymond in the finals cuz LBJ stepped over him and flopped... coulda said nah guys we don’t want something that silly to decide the finals... instead they suspended and changed the nba champion basically to ... uphold the integrity... rules are rules... blah blah.

So they inconsistently apply rules in different areas... it’s maddening. The mvp of our league this year has one signature move that is pretty clearly a travel and is basically known to seek out defenders arms and trick refs... letter of the law say he can gather and that he swings his arms through and it’s a foul.

Again just come out and say it... we don’t want a flaw in the rule book help decide a playoff series... so we will fix the flaw and here is how we are interpreting this instance.

They pick and choose what and who they protect and it’s frustrating. Someday maybe we are on the other side of that equation... or maybe not.

More or less how i imagine it.

Yes!

I'm a big Keisha Gray, Elsa Jean, and Veronica Rodriguez fan, amongst about 100 others.

Also for those laughing at the diff between what CJ did and westbrick did... CJ lost a gamecheck $165k, which is significant... to help a teammate up. They could have found a way around saying hey we didn’t think it was an altercation or he was making sure his player was safe or we don’t review things like that in the preseason... all would have been as reasonable as how they “interpreted” this incident but they went the rules is rules route... and weren’t afraid to take his money.

Agree with Cy. The rule is designed to stop players from running into a fight from the bench.

I think it’s also designed to stop players from instigating a fight when tensions are already high on the court. Seems like what Russ might have been doing.

We can't hear what's said. Refs probably know all the good words in several languages.

So you think gobert got his T for saying something naughty? Do you think Westbrook might have said something naughty at some point during this series? Again, call it fairly.

On PG's first technical foul, Paul George was standing behind the line getting ready to inbound the ball and Ingles steps on the line and gets right next to him. You are suppose to be like a foot from the line in those cases. There are a lot of instances of Ingles doing stuff that could be considered over the line of what "sportsmanship" should be.

People are just making way too big of a deal over stuff OKC is doing when Utah is guilty of doing similar things.

Didn’t ingles get a tech? Call it fairly.

When you watch the other video Rudy was walking towards the bench and clearly beers off towards Felton... so I’m actually okay with Rudy’s tech.

And I swear they didn’t give westbrick a tech because they probably lost track and thought he had one already when he didn’t.

Ingles was clearly trying to start **** most of the game.....

Can you really not see the hypocrisy over whining about Westbrook when you praise Ingles for "getting into PG's head"?

Ingles received punishment for trying to start **** even though “it’s the playoffs” which according to you means you don’t T someone up over a little talking and annoying. Russ didn’t receive punishment. Jazz were at home too iirc.

100%... It. Is. The. Reason. He. Came. In.

Also guys stand too close on the baseline all the time... the red comes in and clears space... not the player shoving the guy away. I’m cool with no tech there, unless you T up Ingles for doing the same thing later when he tries to get the ball from PG.

And just to be clear, I'm not complaining about Ingles. I think both teams are playing playoff basketball. ***** going to get weird and wacky and probably cross some lines. It's not big deal and nothing to cry about and whine for suspensions.

You should be complaining about ingles. According to you he should not get a tech for something that’s no big deal but he did get one. This is the playoffs for God’s sake.

Lol come off it. You've been blasting everyone who disagrees with you in this thread, calling them 'whiners and criers.'

This lol.
Cy wants to play the victim after being a dick to everyone who disagrees with him

My problem with it is that I think Westbrook is "playing" out of control and if he hurts someone tonight because he's playing in a game he shouldn't be it's on the nba. Not that that means anything, but bending the rules so a superstar can play is ridiculous. Here's hoping for a nice win tonight with no injuries.
