This poll sucks because I'm pretty sure that the three people who have answered "Yes" meant to answer "I can't read" but they couldn't read it.
Biggest problem I would have for him with us is that he cant shoot open jumpers too well. As has been said, other teams sat back off of him and dared him to shoot. Im going to guess most people cringed when he shot like I did. If he could hit jump shots, I would actually say he would be worth much more. But he cant and that is something we dont need at this point. All the other stuff is great, and yes he does alot of it very well.
Bad thing is he thinks of himself as the #1 option and scorer but he isnt capable of that. Then he pouts if he isnt treated as such.
Ok, I'll give that maybe he doesnt think he is #1 scoring option I suppose. But he shouldnt be 2, 3, or 4 either. If he would embrace the scrappy Ronnie Brewer when he was here role, he would thrive (No set plays for him really, just get garbage and play d and hussle). 10 mil for that sort of player is a bit high to me is all.

AK isn't confused about his role. he understands that his value is in his versatility and basketball IQ, and not as a team's scoring threat.
he has always said he is fine with being a 4th or 5th scorer. more accurately, he said he'd be at his most happy scoring around 10 a game and doing all the other little things that make him unique.
AK isn't confused about his role. he understands that his value is in his versatility and basketball IQ, and not as a team's scoring threat. when he's allowed to have an impact on games -- whatever that means on a particular night -- he's happy. when he is marginalized and treated like a ronnie brewer-level role player, he is less happy. that's not hard to get.
A healthy and consistent AK worth near $10 million. But it's not gonna happen. So 5-6 million it's his price.
Sorry, but I think you have it backwards. This is an accurate representation of the "old" AK, but once Horny started working with him, his jumper improved. Although he had to be wide open to take one, I stopped cringing at his jumper his last few years here. But at the same time, he lost a bit of his athleticism and lost the ability to finish at the rim, particularly with contact, and his rebounding and defence deteriorated as well. Over his last few seasons, his jumper was the only thing that improved, everything else went south.Biggest problem I would have for him with us is that he cant shoot open jumpers too well. i think i'm on record as one of the biggest AK believers left in jazzland... and even i wouldn't have advocated a 2 yr 20M deal given the jazz's current salary construct. having said that, if he really gave the jazz the first shot (like he said he would) there's no telling if he might have accepted an offer in the 7-8M range, but it looks like the jazz basically told him, "oh, welcome back to the NBA, good luck out there!" i can't understand why they'd do that. AK would automatically become our best wing player, and stylewise he's the perfect guy for hayward to watch and model some things after.
so in short, no, i wouldn't have made him the minny offer, but i think we could have had him for less.
He was the Euroleague MVP and was making four million Euros after taxes. Ten million US dollars before taxes is pretty much the same amount. They probably had to pay him this much to get him to come back over.
He's a great fit for Minny. So many unselfish players, Adelman as coach, they're going to be a joy to watch.
I didn't say they'd be better than the Jazz--we have better finishers--but they're going to move the ball much better than us.Yeah, I'm going to enjoy watching them deal with Rubio's and AK's injuries while watching Love playing 0 defense (Watching Millsap average 22 pts, 10 rbs, 3 assist, 4 steals and 1 block against him was fun) and complain that his team isn't making the playoffs.
