If we can keep them off the perimeter then we should be fine, but this is a tough matchup.

Terrible take. Rudy's not terrible on offense, and he's elite on defense. So whatevs.

The reason I go there with Rudy is that some day - and I'm not saying it's next season or in three years - but with Donovan set to make $30M+ after his rookie deal and Rudy likely wanting $30M+ in his 7th year, the Jazz WILL be facing a salary crunch. The choice will be to start letting guys like Crowder and O'Neale leave or to perhaps decide a one-dimensional center isn't worth $30M.

I'm sorry. I recognize the defensive value to the team that Rudy has. But even in the P&R he's limited. How many times has he dropped the ball, or put up an ugly shot? He seems to have regressed from last season. This may be AK all over again. Signs the big contract and then doesn't work very hard in the summer. Gobert looks like he had lots of fun traveling to France and Brazil with Raul, but didn't work on his game.

A case can be made for a more mobile 5 who can shoot, especially as tax issues arise.

Why borrow trouble? Isn't Rudy still in the 1st year of his 4-year contract? There is sooooo much happening between now and 2021.

I'm sure DL's salary spreadsheet already has Rudy's FV included.

Also, I would add that i think he is pretty damn good passer. Just doesn't really get put in a lot of situations to make good passes.

One would hope that Ricky keeps his mojo and comes back fresh. How far away will Dante be? Crowder maybe knowing a bit more of the playbook, old man Ingles freshened up with a bit more juice in his legs, whats not to like?

Still pissed about a week with no ball to watch, wont be watching that circus tomorrow.

This is the first one I've enjoyed in years. Rising stars game had that incredible dunk by Mitchell, followed by his win in the Slam Dunk contest. I agree the wait until the next game is LONG.

What I'm dreading is the off-season. Months of speculation about Favors, Dante and FA's.

Donovan plays better with rest AND he’s got a TON of positive momentum right now.

Ricky can get healthy.

Rudy can continue to get stronger - I have doubts that’s he was even still 100% back after a PCL injury.

Everybody needs to decompress.

It also gives Quin a chance to better integrate O’Neale and Crowder into the lineup. No doubt those guys are still grinding over the break to get ready for the stretch run.

I think that the break is coming at a perfect time for the Jazz. They’re on a roll and only getting stronger (with a weaker schedule) to finish the season.
