Jazz get james harden

He shoots half the shots Westbrook does and gets to the line more and shoots a higher percentage when there. He shoots a grand total of 0.3 less FT's per 36 minutes than Durant. Harden averages 4.2 assists per 36 compared to 5.6 for Westbrook, who controls the ball A LOT more. The FT's and assists support a case for Harden being as good as advertised and not simply a product of Westbrook and Durant's court presence.

As far as PER goes, how many minutes does he play with Durant compared to Westbrook?

you can't look at stuff like that in a vacuum, dude. he gets more open looks than westbrook because westbrook is obviously better by a mile to anybody who watches them, so westbrook is facing a trap every time he comes off a high pick. harden is one of the wide-open guys on the perimeter who benefits from all that attention.

truthfully, i can't even believe we're arguing westbrook >/< harden. the fact that you really believe yourself tells me i'm not not going to win this argument with, you know, logic or basketball knowledge.

If I only watched last night's game, Westbrook was the best player on OKC.

Harden will be over paid by some team...hopefully not the Jazz.

I guess it's time to retreat back to jazzbros, eh?

Maybe he's just drunk?

When that first came out, I think I read it pretty much the same way you're reading it. That is, that those NBA execs would prefer to have Harden over Westbrook. I really didn't think about it too much. But now that we are having this discussion, that actually does seem a little odd to me, so I took a closer look to see if I was missing something. I was.

That question asks specifically "for financial reasons", and there's a big difference between that and just prefering one player over another. So let's look at the numbers.

Westrook = 5 more year at 12.9_13.8_14.8_15.8_16.7

Harden = next year at 5.8 and then the QA after that at 7.6

So, yeah, there's a huge difference in the numbers, and I don't think that answer means those guys would just rather have Harden. It would be interesting to ask the question over again with Harden making the max. I'm guessing we'd have a different result.

Yes, logic... you are truly superior in that good old BackDoorsman mold. Maybe you should read the last few pages again using an "objective measure".

You're a spunky one, I'll give you that! But Keep it up and I'm going to have to paste old posts of mine that you're regurgitating. :)

Where are all the people who were yelling for the Jazz to pony up max money for Harden?

BTW, Westbrook is so much better than Harden, it shouldnt be talked about.

I am just waiting for you to follow this up with a statement like "Jefferson is better then both of them combined".

Nice comeback, I guess.... You hate AL, I get it. I think he is good, I get it. That affects Harden being over rated here how?
