Jazz May Be A Part of 3-Team Deal w/ Clippers

Did you pull those numbers out of your ***? 16.0 to 15.7 in favor of Harris. Throw in age, role and contract, and...

this is my favorite misconception. harris is 29, hill is 26. it's not like we're talking about derek fisher vs. john wall here.

and my bad on the PER numbers. i was working from memory.

Alright guys, it's time to get over the George Hill vs. Devin Harris vs. Daren Collison debate. It's just speculation on top of speculation at this point depending on what Mo Williams decides.

....but if I were Portland and didn't come away with Lillard in this draft I would take a hard look at Harris...... *ducks and runs*

Also it doesn't matter who is better because it's frame of reference that makes no sense.

well you're right that it's just a frame of reference and now we're having a several-pages-long argument about the side point here.

the point is if williams comes, harris goes, and the jazz will get something in return, probably in both deals.

the argument isn't who would we rather have on the jazz. the argument began as does harris command a better market price than hill did last year? and yes, that answer is common sense.
Dude, read the sentence I wrote after the one in bold.

So 13 pages later, lets recap. A rumour started that Mo Williams was traded to the Utah Jazz, but it is completely dependent on Mo opting into his 8.5 Mill contract by Friday. So the deal probably doesn't include any picks and could happen tomorrow.

Mo's agent:

"Mo and I are looking at a lot of different things right now," Williams' agent, Mark Bartelstein, told ESPN The Magazine. "He'll make his decision in the next day or two."

KOC: Has not commented (that I could find)

CBSSports.com's Ken Berger reported:

Williams is "open to idea of going to Utah," but his source said the guard is exploring all options.

Why don't we have George Hill instead of Mo Williams! This team sucks!

I never said they were 894 years apart; no misconception whatsoever. 3 years can make a pretty big difference in pro sports. Hill's game should age more gracefully than Harris's has.

Sounds like Mo Will and his agent are going to spend all that time looking at the market interest in a FA Mo Will and if that exceeds his current value or if it is better than going to Utah.

i read it. and i disagree. teams will pay more for better talent. harris is better talent AND on an expiring contract.
Which teams with late lottery picks would rather have Harris than Hill (if it were the Hill from a year ago)?

that sucks. that's mo and his agent basically telling the jazz, "make the deal if you want, but you have to make it on faith if you want to get it done today, because we're not going to tip our hand." hate it when players do that and hold three teams hostage with their plans two hours before the draft.
