It’s my son’s 13th birthday today. I told him it was the draft tonight and he said something about Detroit and I said they were drafting a Cade something. He then said Cade Cunningham, and it was at that moment that my son knew more about this draft than I do.

Looks like Kuzma is officially off the board, heading to WAS in the Westbrook trade.
For those not wanting to look, it sounds like Kuzma, Harrell, and KCP, plus this year’s draft pick, for Westbrook. Also that there’s supposedly more to finalize on the deal.
+ a 2024 2nd rounder, + a 2028 2nd rounder. The benefit of being the Lakers is picks really aren't that important tbh.

What's going to be interesting is if this goes through. Are the Jazz comfortable with giving the backup C role to Dok or is this move going to be made with the intention of bringing in someone on a vet min? Personally wouldn't be surprised if they take the wait and see approach to see what happens in summer league. If Dok is on fire then let it just be him and use the roster spot on another dart throw for a end of the bench wing guy.
