I'd almost rather have the pick than the 8th and 7th seed, but on that note I never object to watching playoff basketball when the Jazz are involved.
If we are going to play like we have the last 3 games, then I want the pick. I thought the Jazz where going to push for a mid-seed and actually be competitive. Oh well, back to reality. Can't wait for Kendall Marshall so we don't (hopefully) have to see Watson.
Get the pick. We have some definite needs that this draft can provide.
I wish the Jazz would have decided a month or so ago to forego the playoffs and tank. Now we're probably going to finish 9th or 10th in the west and get the worst-possible lotto pick. Oh joy!
Still should be able to get a good rotation player out of it. By the way the newest Jazz fan born yesterday says Go Jazz!

Ah, Jazz have an easier schedule than Denver and Houston. Utah could still make it as the 8th seed. Isn't that what we want...playoff experience for the young guys?
Seriously, it is ESSENTIAL the Jazz do NOT make the playoffs, IMO. If they don't, KOC will have to make changes. If they get to the playoffs, even as an 8th seed, he and Greg can continue to trim expenses and claim the young team just needs a few seasons to grow together.
Congrats on the newborn! More Jazz fans the merrier...
do you guys really want to add TWO rookies to this already-young-as-hell team? especially if it comes at the cost of creating a culture where it's ok to lose? the jazz should absolutely make every effort to get to the playoffs, even if the end result is an embarrassing sweep. .

put another way, you have to lose before you can win... and if we want guys like derrick favors, gordon hayward and alec burks to be leading the jazz to the playoffs in 2013 and beyond, it behooves us for them to get there and feel the difference in intensity. you can't just tank your way to a couple of late lottery picks and then all the sudden compete for a title. at some point you have to start showing your young core what it takes to be good, even if that process is slow and includes a couple of first-round beatings.
