Out of all the new signings this is actually the one that makes the most sense to me. As many has said here before, Favors is not guaranteed to be healthy and this allows Tony Bradley to go to the G-League and hone his skills (something Gobert did for a while too when he was a rookie IIRC).


For what we got him for and in terms of fit and where our team is, this is actually the perfect signing.

I'm sure it's been mentioned but him and Joe Ingles are super good friends. And this is the most intriguing signing yet.
 
I really like this. Jazz are more-or-less doing what I had hoped, conceptually, in terms of filling out the roster: add defensive and/or scrappy players that spread the floor. You give Rubio and Gobert room to operate (in addition to Burks and Exum), Hood an opportunity to shine, make the game ugly for the opponent, and the Jazz will turn heads.

With added emphasis, stretchy bigs that D up are hard to come by, and the Jazz scrapped and found what could be TWO and on the cheap. Each an insurance policy for the other in case of injury or it just doesn't work out. If they play above their contract value, they become nice trade chips since they're multi-year deals, but the deals are short and cheap enough that if they are just terrible, then oh well.

I'm way more excited than I should be. But I really like these moves.
 
Diaw is absolutely gone, but Favors stays. That's my guess. Burks is more likely to be sent out.

We should unload Burks salary if we are gonna make a trade. Move Diaw, Favors and Burks for Love?

Thabo has a 7'2" wingspan, Udoh has a 7'4" wingspan, Exum is 6'9" I think, and Mitchell is 6'10".

That's a crazy long 2nd team.

Joe Johnson is a PF, and he ain't a 3rd stringer.
 
I think Jerebko is a guy you play with foul trouble, or emergencies.

He's decent, but he won't be getting very many minutes.
