If Golden State cut Murph the Jazz can resign him to try and make the team.
They cut him today.

On a positive note, he isn't a grizzled vet, he just went undrafted this year, so if he's any good he could be on the team for some time.
Locke is saying we actually had to out-bid other teams to get him. Why didn't any of these teams draft him then?! He played 4 years in college and had the best TS% in the nation! Glad we got him.
Because he went to Belmont. I'll bet PKM and only a handful of others actually know where Belmont is and what conference they play in (I'll admit I had to look it up). Wesley Matthews went undrafted too. There are always a handful of guys that are overlooked due to their size or where they played. Second round is often the place to go after young foreigners so you can retain their rights while they develop. Sometimes you have a small bidding war for U.S. players who didn't get picked. In this case, he was on the radar a little bit (since he played in both SL's), but really vaulted up the charts with his shooting. I like that DL signed him for 2 years. If he works out, Jazz have his rights. If not, it's a team option.Locke is saying we actually had to out-bid other teams to get him. Why didn't any of these teams draft him then?! And I'm assuming one of the teams who wanted Clark would be his SL team Golden State. Feels good.
I thought we weren't supposed to put much stock into what's happening in the Summer League.

Do any of you ever wonder if Greg Miller has asked Dennis, " Dennis, I paid for 70 prospects to be flown to SLC, housed and fed them and bought them a bunch of gear so that you could evaluate them all for the draft. I now have 3 players on MY team from the draft that you didn't bring in. Will you remind me why did I spend all that money?"

Murph is no longer the Jazz's problem. He was traded.I'm afraid Murph is destined for a long run in the DLeague or Korea.
It must be remembered though, he's a 2, not a 1. Sure, in a pinch he might be able to play a little 'Foye' style 1, but he's a 2. Unlike Lucas who is a scoring point guard.Oh and I like Clark better than Lucas III already.
