What's new

Jazz square off against them Indiana boys on an Indiana night -- Jazz @ Pacers 3/7/2018 5:00 pm MST

The Pacers actually looked pretty decent, they just couldn’t hit a three and our D locked them down. Sabonis is interesting. He supposedly played the four last year, but he’d be interesting as a possible stretch four. It’s probably just my nostalgia of arching his dad destroy us and wanting to grab a piece of that, but whatever.

Indiana got a pretty damn good return on PG.

Bogdanovic vaguely reminds me of Oscar Schmidt .. unathletic big stiff who can shoot pretty great but ultimately pretty non impactful at NBA level

Hood took bad shots a lot. I'd much rather have Crowder because at least he brings other things besides shooting to the court.
He also brought jack ****ing **** else to the table, most importantly. When he wasn't on fire, he was a net-negative contributor. A liability.

Isn't that basically what I said? Not sure why you quoted me here. Unless it was to back up my point?

I disagree.
He was never some big liability. He was just a guy who would occasionally get beat defensively. This year was an anomaly because he played about 1/6th of his total minutes with Gobert. He actually played w/ Joe Johnson more this year than with Gobert, which really hurt his defensive rating.

He was a liability as a wuss and a chucker.
And he was a split second late on most of his reads, and brought a cloud around with him, and was always a bad defender, and didn't get to the line or cut for ****. He's in a perfect role now: Other guys create shots for him and there's little pressure on him individually.

He is a starter on the team that gets the most media attention in the NBA. I would say there is way more pressure on him now.

Hood wasnt a good defender, but he wasnt a liability.
You obviously have a vested interest in your boy, and you'll find or make up whatever you want to suit your narrative.

Hood's never been a good defender, mediocre vision/passing at best, and softer than his own ****. He could get hot (overwhelmingly against bad competition), but had as many okay games as he did total **** ones.
