Jazz Trading JLIII, Murphy for Carrick Felix

All of our young players will be better. If history shows anything.
Kanter is questionable with his health but has improved over the years.
Favors seems willing to learn and hanging around Snyder.
Hayward will be out to prove he is worth his contract.
Burks should get more minutes.
Trey will be healthy and should be calmer and shot selections seems a little better.
Better outside shooting hopefully.
A real offense and a real defense. Summer league showed drastic improvements.
The Bench is WAY BETTER.

I can see us being close to a .500 club next year. Something similar to what the Wolves did last year. Miss the playoffs and lose a lot of close games.

We should have pushed for first round pick, instead of second and $1M. Having in mind that Cleveland need this trade much more than we do, and it helps them get where they want to be in order to be able to trade for Love. Plus a team with Love, Lebron and Kyrie would probably give us one of the last 3 picks in the draft, so it's not like even a first rounder is too much.

This move tells me we're bound for the lottery again for 1 more year.

Seems like the FO doesn't think Exum is enough star power - seems like we think we need '1 more guy'.

Uh oh. Cleveland is getting some Love.

I was starting to like Malcolm Thomas. I thought he fit well as a Marvin Williams-lite player for a 10th of the price. Looks like Motum is probably going to make the Jazz.

Why? are you saying we'd be better if we had kept Lucas, Murphy, and Thomas?

Do we really need another 2nd rounder though? How many have we got now?!?!

I wonder what this move was really about.... could it be the $1m that would pay for all the camps they're running?

We got a 2nd round pick for JLIII. Do you always look a gift horse in the mouth?

Sounds like a smart move to me; getting a player at a position of need our FO was interested in last season for 3 players who weren't gonna see our roster this year anyway. And getting paid to do it too...

With all those 2nd round picks, it looks like Jazz are trying to pimp Idaho Stampede, so that they will be the first team from NBDL ever, to be offered a contract in NBA.

Felix seems cool and this is the kind of shrewd moves I wanted to see. We basically get a free prospect plus a second for our cap fodder. Locke had some nice quotes about Felix... I know we aren't building a Boy Scout troop but all these guys seem to be hard workers and high character.

This young leadership is much more preferable to me than having the veteran leaders. Solid summer DL... Can we start the season now.

I do if it has a bunch of these inside it:P

Felix is the athletic 3 and D type of player…if he can get his shot a little better.

Really athletic, ok shot, not much of a dribbler, and a pretty decent defender. Hustles. He's raw, but older, which really limits his potential. I thought he was a reach when the Cavs took him, but he could be a pretty decent rotation player.

Because every once in a while they turn into someone like Millsap.

Wasn't there an article written about how much harder it is nowadays to find those diamonds in the rough, because of the internet, more and better scouting as well as increased in investment?

LOL .. 10?? are they really worth that much anyway? What's the point of grabbing 10 scrubs???

We are going to continue to trade them back until we fulfill my dream of owning ALL of the second round picks in a draft. We are a third of the way there. It will be cool when the second round hits and Nate Silver will have to give the mike over to DL who will take over the next round of the draft. Run it like an auction. It will be EPIC!
