they have to do that **** on purpose right? like no way the editing guys can be like "thats the one" with good conscience right?

Definitely, gotta spice up the job somehow

perhaps, but even when he's not scoring, he's almost always been a good facilitator, defender, etc. he's been a well rounded player for the last 3+ years, not star level, but an above average starter.

I'd say he's been a star the past two years, but I think that's just a matter of personal definition.

He just doesn't jump out as a special player until you pay deeper attention. Then you can see just how good he is

bucks broadcast team were toting him as the next hondo. High praise, the all-star berth is spreading the seeds of his labor.

I'm sure we've all thought at one point or another 'wtf it doesn't seem like Hayward is doing anything when he's on the floor'.

He just isn't the physical specimen or high skilled player to make a presence just by being on the court. He's a really interesting blend of the two. Those games have been less and less common this year though

Lmao wut? Hayward does everything on the court and the only player on our team that gets consistently double teamed.

Jazz dont play til Saturday, dont get your panties in a bunch.

you'd be singing an entirely different tune if someone sprained their ankle during meaningless minutes. It happens. Get Exum some time, etc. Meaningless minutes in January can smd

Unfortunately it looks like the Clippers are going to pull it out in Phoenix... so we'll stay 1/2 game behind them.

I guess my point is just that Hayward isn't elite at any one thing, and that makes it difficult to define him as a star at first glance. I think Kyle Lowry suffers from the same problem.

Other stars have defining traits, like one on one skill (melo, pierce), shooting (dame, curry), defense (gobert), athleticism and handles (wall, Irving), being ridiculous physical specimens (lebron, giannis). Hayward's biggest defining trait might be the fact he's white lol.
