Jazz vs Hornets | Wednesday November 24th @ 7pm

Yet? Sorry bro but I disagree. Rebounding, for the most part, is not a learned skill that one improves on much at all with playing time and experience. You either board or you don't. And he doesn't. In fact, he's gotten worse over his career for whatever reason.
Sorry bro, I disagree with you. Rebounding is as much about effort (which can be learned) as any basketball skill. (Size helps, too, but Millsap will tell you that it's not essential.) That's why I've been so critical of Jefferson in past games when he has dogged it on boxing out, and that's why Jefferson is doing better; he's putting forth more effort. (BTW, Fes's effort hasn't been good in rebounding, either; part of that is sometimes defending (or help defending) at the expense of rebounding, part of it is overall lack of focus.)

Two citations that rebounding is a learned skill. The first is from Oklahoma University coach Kelvin Sampson, the second from legendary center Bill Russell.

That was some beautiful basketball. Haven't had this much fun all season.

I'm also impressed by AJ's passing. He has come a long way since start of the season.

Loved the Elson/Smith dual that was going on. Elson hit him with a few cheap shots, then Smith would run back down the floor and cheap shot him, and then Elson gave him that hard foul and Smith about lost it. That's exactly why I wanted Elson on this team. He's an *******. Love it.

Good solid team game. Big win standing wise. Good night.

everybody played good for the jazz. Chris paul is an assist ball hog. He never gives his teamates a chance to pass. He like demands they shoot it.

I like how Dwill put that 3 in there at the end to give him the large statistical boost over Paul.

Wow. Good game Jazz. Best of the year so far keep it up.

Sloan did a great job as well. He left Ak and Bell on the bench and let the guys playing really well (CJ, Watson) stay on the floor and put this game away. He also took Fess out when he did not seem to be performing and put Al back in. Loved his rotations tonight.

Watson, Elson and Jefferson all seem to be getting much more comfortable with this team and they are starting to perform in a very impressive manner.

Loved the dunk by Evans as well.

AK was the only player who was terrible in this game.

Yet again Deron shows Paul why he's the best PG in the league.

I really like the combination of Watson/Price on the second team together. They bring a toughness and hustle to the floor that seems to wear off onto the other players.

Yeah.. Elson is playing a nice role so far this season. Oh and maybe i'm alone, but I prefer Locke & Booner 10000% to the TV guys. I swear if the Jazz start to falter even slightly Boler instantly goes in to the oh-so-annoying "well this is what happens when you (blah blah blah)" sort of tone

I said in the chat that Elson is kind of dirty....I like it.

Loved the Jeremy Evans dunk at the end you could see he was thinking i'm going to throw it down once he got the ball. Best home win of the year so far, contributions everyone, even though ak was held scoreless he made some defensive plays that don't show up on the box score.

Big Al is picking up the offense. He made a great pass to AK (which AK blew) and an even better pass to Millsap for the dunk. All around he looked pretty comfortable out there.

That was a quality win. They got up on the, let it go a bit but came back to really whip a damn good NBA team. I thought Al especially played a great game. His rebounding is getting a lot better. Al registered his 22nd block of the season in his 16th game. Boozer had all of 36 in his 78 games last season. It's nice to see a guy who can hold his own down in the paint.

Nice game by Big Al and especially the second unit for showing some toughness. Fesenko had a bad game but did lay down the law with some hard fouls. Dirty? A little, but it sent a message to the guards and David West the Jazz were done giving easy baskets. I liked it. Deron put Chrissy's skirt back on for her in the second half, which he has to do from time to time just to remind the league he is the number one PG.

Yep, unfortunately restoring order through toughness is a large portion of all that Fes has been doing in the past couple of games. Still is a key part of enabling the second unit to really build momentum--again--but it would be nice to put up some numbers, too. Averaging 6 minutes in the past 4 games is a tough way to get any consistency, though.

I liked when Paul and Big Al finished each others passes with baskets, love to see those two workin together beautifully.

Every Jazz man on the court touched the ball on the second of the two plays:

Raja steal --> outlet pass to AK --> back out to DWill --> pass to AJ at high post --> J to dump down to Sap for the slam.

Brilliant.
