JazzFanz Official Draft Rumors Thread '13

Didn't see this posted....

Spence Checketts on 1280 says he called around and did some checking on who the Jazz like. Word is the Jazz want to move up, but they are pretty tight lipped about the target. Spence said he finally found a guy who told him the Jazz target would be McCollum and the price was probably #14 and Burks.

If it happens ....I told you so.

Also, I posted on that Gerald Green thing yesterday and was soundly trashed for suggesting it. Now today everyone thinks its a good idea?

I remember everyone jazzing over the green trade...

LOL.. if Oladip goes #1, I think all our mocks are ****ed.

More draft intrigue from Cavs! Hearing, somewhat convincingly, that owner Dan Gilbert loves Victor Oladipo. Me too @cavsdan!!!

Consider this post an intervention.

You need to get over Archie Goodwin. It started off as a funny thing, but it has gotten ugly. I don't think you realize how your addiction to mediocrity is affecting your family, and more importantly, your Jazzfanz family. Give up Goodwin. Let him go. Find a better darkhorse pick to root for.

Yet you mocked him in your first round..

LOL.. if Oladip goes #1, I think all our mocks are ****ed.

he's not.

If the Jazz are going to put in all this work and give up two (cumulatively) good assets (Burks and #14) to move up in the most wide open draft in a very long time, they had better be targeting and being comfortable that they're getting Trey mafuggin Burke.

Zeller rising fast?

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 24s
Cody Zeller in strong consideration for Charlotte (4), Phoenix (5), sources say. If McCollum goes 6 or 7, Detroit has Zeller high on board.

Doesn't surprise me.
At the beginning of the '13 thread, when the mocks had him #1.. I predicted he'd slide to 10'ish but ultimately go around 5.

He's a very nice player in this draft.

Sam Amico: Also, Cavs-Nets-Wolves three-way deal involving CJ Miles, Brooks and picks Nos. 22 and 26 very real. Or just 22 for Miles. Twitter @SamAmicoFSO

CJ Miles for pick #22?

SMH at KOC for assett management. Here is to hoping DOL does better.

Rumors coming in thick and fast guys... thick and fast.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 43s
Milwaukee has discussed switching draft spots (15 for 13) with Dallas to solidify itself to take Russian Sergey Karasev, sources tell Y!

What I know this morning: 4. Looks like the Jazz, Wolves & Thunder most active in trying to move up higher in the lottery ...

Interesting...

Cool bro, thanks.. but if Wolves want to move up, who do we trade with?? Haha..

Why not just reason with the Wolves? We know they will pick the wrong guy if they move up, and they know they will pick the wrong guy too. Therefore, they should stay put and pick that same wrong guy without having to give up more to get him. It's what I call a win-win situation.

The Kings like Shabazz too. If the Jazz take Shabazz at 14, I'd say there's at least a 50% chance they're taking him for someone else.

The Kings like either Hardaway or Snell later in the draft, but wouldn't likely want both.

So look for Shabazz + Hardaway Jr. as a potential trade back to the Kings. See if the Kings take Burke or McCollum.
Hear they like McCollum a lot.
Are you guys serious?

Dion Waiters, Tristan Thompson, #1 pick

for

Enes Kanter?

You guys would say no? Wow, just wow.
hell ya I say hell no! You don't trade away a guy in Kanter that you can build a contender around. Put Favors next to him, just makes Kanter that much better. There's nothing special about anything we're getting back from the Cavs. Your young son, you'll learn.
#14, #21 and Kevin Murphy to Sacramento for #7 if CJ McCollum is on the board.

Do you do it?
This is a no-brainer. Yes for me.
