What's new

Joe Ingles is bad

Placeholder for a season. He'll be upgraded in the offseason - either through free agency or the draft. Don't see him back in 2015/16 no matter how much of a nice guy he is.

He can come back as long as he never comes into games anymore.

Only think Ingles is doieng bad is scoring right now, but he is sharing the ball and making plays for teammates and I like it. If he starts hitting shots, he could help this young team winning some games.

He went 11 minutes without taking a single shot vs. the Heat.

He doesn't take open shots (not good for the offense) and he doesn't get open that well (because he is slower than molasses and his shot is only slightly faster than molasses). Yes, he can make some nice passes. For every nice pass there are about 7 possessions where he is a complete non-factor and it's like we are playing 4 on 5 on the offensive end.

He has also only taken 5 FT's in over 200 minutes of game time. Shows how completely non-aggressive and nonathletic he is.

He needs time dude is playing on a nea league, new team and new country. I just don´t like how selfish this team plays, especially Burke, Kanter, Hayward, and Burks, who always trying to score first. So I like that their is one player, who is sharing the ball and playing for the team...

You can be good shooter and still shoot near 30 percent like Hayward did last year, where he missed a lot of open shots... Joe just needs to hit the open shots, he doe not need to be Steve Novak. Yes, he is slow, but he is not Hedo Turkoglu slow. Dude is shooting 52 % from the 3 this year on 1.3 attempts per game.... Ingles has 1.8.... Joe will getter with time... I like team Ball....

There is being unselfish and then there is being scared/unconfident.

I think their is both... Ingles has not much confident right now, but he always played like this. He is a career 5 points per game scorer in the Euroleague, dude loves to share the ball...

Perhaps. There may still be a roster spot as Evans, Clark, Murry and Christopher are FA's. Novak could also be released or traded. Count on adding at least one pick, but you never know about the 2nd-rounder; it could be traded or used as a "draft-and stash." Neto probably comes over. And the Jazz likely go after a quality FA with their cap space. Ingles is a good guy to have on the end of the roster. He plays if there are injuries or foul trouble. Kind of like Jeremy Evans this year.

He's an NBA rookie, but is veteran-like in terms of his age and experience. So while I do think the Jazz need a better backup behind Hayward, I still think Ingles could make the roster next season.

Fair points. I like the guy well enough, but I'm not a fan of how much they play him. He should only get minutes when there's injuries. He shouldn't be playing as much as he does, but the Jazz are "going lean.

Yep. The bench is young and lean. It's another year of the "GM tank." Why give Snyder a bunch of mid-tier vets and try to win 35-40 games? That puts the Jazz out of a top-10 lottery pick. Better to just have the rookies and sophs anchor the bench, the team "suffer" a bit due to inexperience and the Jazz land somewhere in the top half of the lottery. No, I don't think we have any chance at getting a top-3 pick (unless we have injuries). This game was a perfect example of what I wanted to see last year: close games, the Jazz doing EVERYTHING they can to win, the youngsters getting experience, but the Jazz coming up just short. If Utah can play like this the rest of the season and still get a pick in the 5-8 range, I'd be ecstatic! That means just a couple of roster moves, including that top-10 pick could really boost the record going forward.

I <3 this guy.

They forget he is a rookie. It could be worse though, if Corbin was still the coach he would be starting and playing 36 mins a night. The same probably goes for As loan.

You forgot one, fishonjazz

Probably these girls, too. I swear I saw them at the Clippers game (not wearing those same shirts, though)

I thought I saw them hot *** attention whore bitches too.

They're my heroes. I would have bought either of them a nice dinner after they had the coj..., umm, well, the courage to wear those shirts.
I love them also

Ingles shot is awful. He shoots way too slow to get his shot off to where he feels comfortable in the NBA (from what I've seen). He can pass though and I really like that he found Exum on a cut. Our really hope our offense learns to find cutters more often. Also wish Ingles never plays another minute though.
