Joe Ingles is bad

Perhaps. There may still be a roster spot as Evans, Clark, Murry and Christopher are FA's. Novak could also be released or traded. Count on adding at least one pick, but you never know about the 2nd-rounder; it could be traded or used as a "draft-and stash." Neto probably comes over. And the Jazz likely go after a quality FA with their cap space. Ingles is a good guy to have on the end of the roster. He plays if there are injuries or foul trouble. Kind of like Jeremy Evans this year.

He's an NBA rookie, but is veteran-like in terms of his age and experience. So while I do think the Jazz need a better backup behind Hayward, I still think Ingles could make the roster next season.

Ingles would be better if we had an elite bench and he was the 9th/10th guy and we didn't need him to score at all. Kind of hurts to have a complete non-scoring option when you also have Gobert, Exum, and Booker who all struggle to score in half-court settings and Hood who is just a rookie.

I would like to see ingles next season after a pre-season with the Jazz. I think his shooting will improve with settling in to the team. He is a better shooter than what he is doing at the moment. He also should be scoring more at the rim. He is playing a bit like he doesn't want to make mistakes or hog it. Just like Barnes and mills at the Spurs, they started off pretty slow but improved season by season. I am not saying that he should be a starter, but can be a bench player who can give us some production every now and then.

Knocking down shots has nothing to do with settling into a team. He had a few unsuccessful cracks at the NBA prior to Utah, so it's not some breaking news he isn't an NBA player. I guess he does add value in being a 'good guy' and perhaps someone for Exum to lean on to feel a little more comfortable as he transitions into playing in the NBA. But in terms of being a rotation player for us, Ingles sucks and if he does play it means we aren't remotely close to a playoff contender.

Last night was his 5th game in a row without scoring but looking at the box he did some nice things like assists, rebounds, steals and blocked shots. Perhaps he can turn himself into a Bill Hanzlik.

Ingles shot is awful. He shoots way too slow to get his shot off to where he feels comfortable in the NBA (from what I've seen). He can pass though and I really like that he found Exum on a cut. Our really hope our offense learns to find cutters more often. Also wish Ingles never plays another minute though.
Agree with all of this

Yup. I think there are other more serviceable players in the league. Imagine if we still had DMC?

How do you fix this? Last night Burks took 6 shots, scored 12 points, and led the team in assists.
I believe Burks is the 3rd leading scorer on the team behind Hayward and favors.

Isn't that what we want from Alec? Or do you want Burks to take more shots/possessions than Gordon and derrick?

We want nothing set in stone. We need a free flowing offense that allows all shooters to get a good look at the basket. Some nights its there and others it's not. We need guys in the stating 5 and off the bench that can come in, know their roll and contribute.
