Kamala Harris for Pres

Democrats could have chosen anybody and they would still beat orange clown. Don't get me wrong, he has his loyal cultists who will vote for him even if he had lobotomy, in a wheelchair and wearing a diaper but nobody who voted for Biden in 2020 will switch to vote for Trump. Where do you think extra votes are coming for orange clown to win it? I would love to hear.

like i've been saying for ages if the Democrats chose anyone of merit who was articulate and presentable they'd win in a landslide. Kamala isn't that.

Again, final time, I’ll explain my view.

1. I’m not for Trump
2. I’m advocating for a better option for the Democratic nominee.
3. I don’t believe Kamala has what it takes to beat Trump.
4. I don’t care who is POTUS is. I’m rooting for a slit congress.

Never Trump was strong 4 years ago. I don’t believe it has enough energy this cycle and if that is why most people are voting for her on this politics forum, you think average people with little enthusiasm for politics are going to rush out to an uninspiring candidate with limited personalty?

Democrats have a real opportunity right now and I believe they are wasting on Kamala.

Yeah, I will vote for RFK over Kamala and Trump. If I had a conversation with these 3 candidates, I would get an actual real conversation out of him, with depth in many topics. Same with Pete. I won’t get that with the others.

Yeah I will take her:

She is so inspiring!

Again, the only reason the left are trying to promote her is because their overlords choose her. Since the left is an ideological cult, the left now has to defend her at all costs. I wouldn’t be saying these things if it was a better candidate.

Oh the sound bites are dumb and you know it. Every single public figure has similar gaffs. Nothing damning in there. Just those moments we all have that we hope we aren't forced to remember some day. But, of course, being in politics, everyone will remind her to the very end. At least we'll see how thick her skin is. That's literally the only value in those clips.

She needs to stay on script as much as possible. Every night she should practice a few zingers highlighting what a jackass The Rapist is and use them liberally throughout the campaign. Her writers need to get to work.

I mean there is one man and one man child. Trump literally acts like a ****ing toddler.

He has the physique of Mrs. Doubtfire.

He has the morals of a Tom cat.

He has a record that would make a mob boss blush.

The people who know him best turn on him.

The people with the most to gain are his favorite friends.

Are you auditioning as Kamala's writer?

Argues that a more prolonged process leading to an open convention did have strategic advantages over the process of anointing Harris.

The error is not the choice of Kamala Harris. It is the sudden rallying behind her.

“A prolonged process would also confer strategic advantages. Normally a party commits to a platform and a ticket several months (or in the case of incumbents, years) before the election. My colleague Tim Alberta has described the Trump campaign’s meticulous planning for a Biden campaign. “Even the selection of Ohio’s Senator J. D. Vance as Trump’s running mate,” Alberta writes, was “meant to run up margins with the base in a blowout rather than persuade swing voters in a nail-biter.” Now that Trump is committed to his path, the Democrats have an unusual chance to revise their strategy to neutralize Trump’s choices. “The Republican Party just spent tens of millions of dollars running against Joe Biden,” Trump’s former adviser Stephen Miller said on Fox News yesterday, with a whiny and wounded sense that the Democrats had violated the bounds of fair play. And in some ways they have—but now that they are redrawing those boundaries mid-campaign, they may as well take full advantage of their opportunity. That means not providing Trump with a fixed target, and calibrating their selection process for maximum lethality for his campaign’s locked-in choices.

The other strategic advantage is attention. To get airtime yesterday, after Biden’s withdrawal, Trump would have had to get shot in his other ear. His whole political career has depended on the fascination, sometimes morbid, of the public, as he says unexpected and strange things. No individual American politician can match his ability, but collectively, with genuine competition compressed over the next few weeks, they can create a circus more able to transfix voters than a series of Trump rallies”.

“…..The Democrats, as they say, never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.”

Speaking of sound bites, I did appreciate this one.

Is anyone going to talk about the original DEI, Trump? What has he done to accomplish anything? He inherited a bunch of money from his dad, bankrupted a bunch of businesses, and raped women.
Wait, wut?!? You think DEI means 'not good with money' and 'does crime'? So in the past when you'd champion DEI, the people coming in are those who in your view 'do crime' and are 'not good with money'. That is quite a view you've got there @DutchThriller

I don’t think JD Vance is deserving of the VP. Wrote a book, Barely in politics and worked for a short time at a Venture Capital firm.

Very thin… what does he bring to the Trump ticket?
Intellect. JD Vance is arguably the smartest person currently in the Senate, and possessing a Yale Law education.

When the Titanic hits the ice berg, the little dinghy lifeboat floating looks amazing in that moment.

That is Kamala Harris right now.

They should go through the process and nominate the best candidate through the convention before resting all their hopes on her.

It kinda reminds me of when Ty Corbin got the job without a proper vetting process.

Never once did I mention Trump or you voting for him.

I'm not a democrat, the party is terrible. Unfortunately they are the only party in the USA trying to put out anyone decent and at least pretending to care about people. I doubtfully will ever live in the USA again. The overlords haven't told me anything.

It's clear whatever social media or news you follow has told you she's bad based on a few clips of her speaking and saying silly things. Everyone who speaks publicly says some dumb stuff.

You've made it clear why you aren't voting for her, but you're voting for someone less qualified which was your main complaint about Harris. So it seems you might have a problem with something else with her. I do agree she isn't the most charismatic, but I don't really care about that.

Which women would you vote for president and enjoy a conversation with?

I keep hearing Kamala isn’t my first choice but…
But what? If she is not the democrats first choice, why would it be for independents, cross overs or conservative liberals? Just because she is the Democrats nominee everyone will just get behind her?

She's not the first choice for me and most on here because she's too centralist, leaning more that way wouldn't help.

Democrats and republicans will never put out someone that's a first choice for most. They will put out someone that pushes their party. No one should fully support one party unless your completely brain washed. The whole point of parties is to pick major issue/s you care about and combine those with others major issues and team up. You shouldn't support every thing the party pushes. Therefore unless you're completely gone into propaganda of the party the candidate will never be your first choice.

I wasn't a Bernie bro at all. But he was a lot of people's first choice. But he didn't follow the parties principles and platform. There is no reason to have a democrat candidate that doesn't push your party platform and help get more power for the party.
