Kirelenko in Trade talks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For what it's worth...

I'm a long suffering Jets fan. There is a social media $cmuck in Jets land that typically has pretty good sources. If you follow his Twitter timeline he broke the Revis story about 5 hours before national media or beat reporters. But he has been wrong on other stories. Anyway, he also has sources with the Knicks and Nets. He is saying that Melo is being urged by third parties NOT to sign the extension and to play it out / wait it out with Denver until he can get traded to NY in December or free agency next summer. Again, this guy has been dead on with some things well before traditional media. Maybe something to keep an eye on.

I simply don't get the infatuation with Crymelo. He's a top scorer but otherwise a punk. It's probalby stroking his ego to have the two NY-area teams drooling over him. Let him go suck with either one of them.

And let AK stay here until December. Or not.

Why do the Jazz seem to acquire players years after I wanted them, when they are either old, crappy, or both?

I spent the late 80s dreaming of Tom Chambers, and sure enough, the Jazz get him when he was 54 and half a foot shorter. Antoine Carr, Danny Manning...and now Diaw. I wanted Diaw 5 years ago. This is like getting to sleep with the prom queen, but 20 years later when she's fat, discoloured from smoking, divorced with 2 kids and working at the local Wal-Mart.
Pretty much sounds like a typical prom queen life cycle to me.

I would throw in Hayward, Tomic and some 1st rounders if it means we get Gerald Wallace instead of Diaw.

Cant wait to see the back of that pansy Kirilenko.

Somebody should write a memo to KOC and tell him that Diaw is overweight, overrated and an inferior player to Kirilenko.

When I saw the trade proposal tick through on ESPN, I thought I was going to vomit. Diaw looked 30 pounds heavier (fat) during the world championships compared to his days in Phoenix.

6' 3" with a 6' 7" wingspan is not a small PG. And Deron would probably play SG when both on the floor since he is big and strong enough to hold his ground defensively.

This is all about money, if AK was smart and really wants to stay in Utah he needs to be knocking on Kevin O'C's door and asking to sign a new deal. I think we're better keeping him and would sign him to a new 3 year deal with 8, 8.5 and 9... We'd get the money relief we need for this year and everyone's happy. Plus AK gets two more years. If he sticks to the 17plus mil for this year he'll be traded, now or later doesn't matter. Ball is in AK's court IMO.

You can't restructure your contract in the NBA. This isn't the NFL.

If AK stays, we still need to cut salary. We can't expect the Jazz to pay out $20 mil in LT this year. No way.

Who do you cut instead? Who can actually be moved realistically?

where is everyone getting this 20 Million or 18 Million in luxury tax. We are only like 2 Million over right now? or something similar

We're 6 mil over the LT not including Elson and Watson's salary. So I'm guessing we'll be around 9 or 10 million over with those 2. Thats 18 -20 mil in LT $$$.

My Trade Idea (Tell the Bobcats bye bye)

Jazz get: Prince & Birdman
Nuggets get: AK, Favors and 2 first round draft picks
Nets get: Melo & Rodney Stuckey
Detroit Gets: Devin Harris

Maybe some minor adjustments. Take out birdman and get somebody with less talent to make it fair? Give Detroit more to make it fair?
Any recommendations or thoughts?

Where are you getting your 6 million over the luxury tax? Do you have a link that shows the math? Because it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me when I look at Hoops Hype. I know they are never fully correct but there numbers are way less. I know Raja Bell isn't on there but still its not even close to what everyone is saying.

I'm using ESPN trade machine #'s.

They include Jeffers, Gaines, Evans and Bell. J/G/E are not guarenteed, but they don't include Fes's QO either.

Both sites seem to be a bit off depending on how you define the Jazz's current roster.

People need to get over the Harris thing. While it would be a coup for Utah to land him, there has to be another reason the Bobcoats are involved aside from Diaw. With all the talk of 1st round picks being involved, some of them certainly have to be coming from Char. It's nowhere near as simple as the Pro-Harris camp are making it out to be.

UPDATED

I just added up these players (ESPN Trade Machine). I took out Gaines because we know he will be released (Watson Signing)
