Lets face it our front office is the worst in the NBA

For the record...
first Arroyo was a solid PG... he single handedly took the USA team apart in an Olympic game. We were all wetting ourselves over his potential after that... he just laid an egg. So he had potential, he just never came up with it.

we let Mo WIlliams go, partly because we thought Arroyo was going to be our savior... and had we not... we probably would not have drafted Deron.

Amechi well... Sloan probably ruined him... he had potential... LA offered him a 17 million dollar contract the year before we got him. It was a terrible contract, but someone saw something in him.

Deshawn Stevenson (KOC's first pick) had attitude problems here, not everyone can play for the Jazz. However he's shown that he has enough talent to stay in this league.

Raul Lopez hated playing in America, and was bothered by injuries. He is a vital part of the Spanish team, which is second best in the world... he's no Rubio... but at least he came over here before he decided he'd rather stay in Europe (unlike Rubio).

Curtis Borchardt was bothered by injuries throughout his NBA career... he didn't show a lot of talent... but those injuries nagged him before he could catch on.

Sasha Pavlovic... he's a good player... but we wanted Jarron Collins more...

2004 is definitely KOC's asterik... however the Podzolkine trade did pick up a pick that allowed us to get Williams... and we may not have gotten williams with Al Jefferson and Josh Smith... okay we probably would have been just as bad that first year.

On da real doe. People are confusing the front office with the coaching staff. Utah has been able to remain competitive because of the brilliant coaching staff and a guy named Deron Williams. As far as pure basketball decision making goes, I'll revise my estimate downwards and put KOC, Walt Disney, and Rigballs McGinty in the bottom 10 of the league.

They're in the biggest sports market IN THE WORLD and yet their FO can't put together a 40 win team to save their life.

What I care about is not that they are consistent but that they are entertaining and meet expectations. In 2004-05 they met--even exceeded--expectations. Last season they didn't. And as long as Boozer and Okur don't play defense (and Sloan doesn't insist that they do), it will be difficult for the Jazz to do so. That's why I want Boozer gone. I have no faith that he'll play any more defense and do anything else other than pad his stats (except for a few passes occasionally) than he did when he was actually vying for a contract.

And if you're gonna compare the Jazz to the Knicks, compare 'em to the Spurs, too. SAS has Tim Duncan, but Utah had Stockalone and still couldn't get it done. The FO wasn't able to get that third piece, and Sloan wasn't able to coach the rest of the team to be that necessary third cornerstone; think robotic substitutions, an irascible temper, and otherwise poor in-game strategy.
 
The Jazz went to the second round of the playoffs.....and still picked #9 in the lottery....that is terrible managment.

I may or may not have talked with The Millers's about this word you used 'Expectation'. They may or may not have said that they feel Jazz fans aren't living up to there 'expectations' and until fans do they aren't going to do anything to improve the team.

Is it fair to say that you aren't living up to their expectation and are partially to blame for what is going on with the Jazz??

Oh and.....MICHAEL JORDAN!

Hornacek was the third piece. Don't forget that those Jazz played against Michael Jordan, the undisputed best basketball player of all time. Jordan carried that team. No, he basically was that team. If the 97 and 98 Jazz got to play against SA's finals competition, they would have blown the **** out of them.
 
i just believe the jazz, a team with some mormon beliefs is more committed to building a "team". not making too many moves but trying to constantly keep a core of hardworking, sloan type players together. this has brought us much success but not any rings.

And they picked a player that wont get us past that team that beat us in the 2nd round/ kicked out asses the past 3 years.
