Favors and Kanter can both play the 5 so Al is not needed. Al is a nice guy and a good teammate, but I just hate how the offense stops when he's in the game. Kanter has been quicker to pass out of the post when he sets up.
That said, I'm not sure Millsap is the answer, either...unless he settles for less than market value and wants to come off the bench. Favors gets in a lot of foul trouble, so there IS room for Paul, who would still get 30+ mins. But Millsap is going to be too expensive. Jazz need to find a decent 3rd big in the MLE salary range on a 2-year contract. Then, draft a young big to assume the 4th spot, moving into the rotation in a couple of years.
