Milos Teodosic interested in the Jazz

You are right deals for free agency are always happening six months in advance before either side knows what they will need... which is what the link indicates. If it said there was serious interest from both sides then sure... terms of deal are done and he's coming in the fall... nah.

So It kind of is crazy to think there is truth to it. But I thought it was crazy to think trump could be president so who the hell knows.
Verbal agreements can happen

Hopefully the Spurs go after him and don't try to clear a bunch of cap space for Hill. Because Hill has said in the past he would like to return to SA.

Ive just been watching recent Teodosic highlights. I would be so psyched if he came back and we retained Hill. We could trot out some insane shooting lineups.

From a fan on RealGM:

Spoke to guy who leaked this, source is his long-time friend from Belgrade where he played game yesterday. It didn't pick up steam in USA but some serbian pages and websites picked it up.Take it in any case with grain of salt.

Milos was out 2 weeks from his team and reason was "rest".It was sketchy because he played 10 years w/o free summer. He used that time to travel to USA and talk with some teams.Apparently he decided its gonna be Jazz from next summer.Spurs and Jazz were the most serious candidates.

Deal is worth 30 milions over 4 years, not sure of any options or structure.Quin Snyder played key role as Milos likes him and they know and respect each other.CSKA also offered more than generous sum but he ultimately decided to try himself in NBA as this might be his last chance to play some time among best.

Milos stated several times he doesn't care if he comes of the bench as long he has role that suits him and he believes Snyder will find right role for him next year.

Take it with a grain of salt.

I'd be stoked.

Hill/Teodosic/Exum/Neto
Hood/Burks
Hayward/Johnson
Favors/Lyles
Gobert/Diaw/Bolomboy

We probably lose Ingles if this deal is legit. Throw in some draft picks to round out the roster. If Teodosic's game actually translates that could be the piece that really sends our team over the top.

We cut Diaw and keep Ingles I think.

This could be amazing. Worth the risk

if that's true I like the number, but I don't like the years. We better have team options on at least one of those years. This sounds like about the mid-level exception which is going to jump in the next CBA to about 8 million.

Some of u talk as if this guy is going to be a star if andwhen he comes over. Think the breaks need to be pumped a bit. We've seen stud European players come over and wash out, and sounds like he doesn't have much prime years left if any. How about we resign a sure thing in Ingles who now seems to be an elite 3pt shooter. Exum should be our priority as far as developoling not signing some old over seas guy. I don't see a role for him on this team.

He is playing incredible basketball this year Nash didn't breakout til his late 20 and was great into his mid 30s.

Yeah, but if he comes here and is willing to take a bench role as rumored it could be amazing. This is a guy GMs voted as the best non-nba player in the world. He is coming to play for Snyder, so there is trust and a comfort level for both sides.

Would've been awesome if we could have had this this season

No expert -on Teodosic, so a few random points:

- intrigued by idea/price

- won't expect more than a moderate upgrade to Mack or an adequate stop-gap measure while Exum continues to develop if unable to re-sign Hill

- Jazz defense likely to take a hit, even if his offensive skills are able to compensate

- Teodosic almost exactly (just) one year younger than Hill

- Teo's assist numbers are at career high this year, but shooting hasn't been up to previous years' standards, in fact quite pedestrian -- no guarantee he's a lights out shooter (which is one of the appealing possibilities to contemplate) -- and he's never been someone to create FTs for himself

- very few "best player outside the NBA," which is what NBA gms named him recently, ever make a huge splash in the NBA. The most impactful from Europe almost always are those who are identified/come over young

- even meeting expectations to be a competent rotation piece is never automatic for players from Europe -- some manage and some don't -- it seems to have more to do with having enough broad skills and being able to fit in to a new role than high production in Europe/international ball (thus Ingles has succeeded where few expected much based on Euro stats). From what I've (maybe wrongly) heard about Teo (knows he's a star in Europe, has a certain cockiness, not known for great effort/work ethic), I'm not sure he has this in him. So I'd have a degree of wariness along with optimism if the rumor pans out.

lol, Exum right now is miles behind Teodosic. But yeah, lets keep developing him. We have a saying in our country - you can't squeeze cottage cheese out of ****. I am afraid Exum will never be starting quality PG on NBA team. He may turn into decent backup defensive guard, that's it.
