Yeah. He'll probably be less effective than Neto in that aspect honestly.. Especially vs the elite speed merchants such as Westbrook, Wall, De'Aaron Fox, Dennis Schroder, Kemba etc. he's toast..

But if Exum gets stronger and becomes the defensive stopper we are hoping for, he could be very effective for certain situations -- so long as we have a good defender at the other guard position to defend the go-to guard on the other team. Or just situations where we need points in a hurry or to change momentum.
That seems weird when you see how much the NBA has already integrated certain Euro characteristics that have proven to be efficient.

Ok, I'm finally paying attention to this guy, but I don't want to wade through 12 pages of this thread.
Does anybody think he has the potential to be a starting-caliber player in the NBA? Seems wistful to me, but I don't know much about him at this point. I like how creative he is, and we could use more of that. Seems like he could be a good bench piece.

Offensively he has the potential to be a top 10 PG imo.
The question is how bad he is on defense and if he can put forth more effort on that end in the NBA. I havent watched a lot of full games on him, but I think he kind of coast on the that end as a Euro star, but maybe he would try harder in the NBA as more of a role player.

Calderon blew too, but was an above average PG for many years in the NBA.
