Because he does not have talent to play PG. No insticts, court vision and so stressful under the press so he's who he is. Great finisher and a SG who goes to FT easily.
His point guard skills are underrated. He can handle the ball, pass it a little bit and still can improve his court vision. He can guard most point guards in this league with his athleticizm. I'd be okey if he could become our future backup PG, spending most of his minutes at the SG position.
Once his confidence is back, he will impress you much more. He is much more versatile as people give him credit for.
