Nope. I'm just a realist. It is not likely that the Jazz are going to move up into the top 3 of the draft with their own draft pick (#12 overall). I was simply looking at from a best-player-available POV. And how do you know that it will be a "waste" of a draft pick, as you call it? Aren't people like you the same type of people that said drafting Gordon Hayward with the #9 overall a "waste" of a draft pick? Look how that one worked out. Especially if the Jazz were to "waste" it on a player like Fredette, who was the highest-scoring player in college basketball this last season. If a player can score in college like that, he will definitely be able to score in the NBA. Wasn't one of the Jazz's biggest weaknesses this last season outside shooting? Because I'm pretty sure that it was. Unless the Jazz draft a point guard with their first draft pick, I think that it would be a very wise pick.
