New Orleans wants JAZZ name back

In all honesty, after the Jazz, I probably like the Raptors name the best.

Best names:
Utah Jazz (the irony makes it great)
Toronto Raptors (Dinosaurs man)
Boston Celtics (White Irish people played by a ton of black dudes)
Portland Trailblazers (Old Oregon trail game FTW)
Golden State Warriors (Makes me think of the movie "The Warriors", awesome movie)
 
let 'em be the Saints, wouldn't be the first time a city had two major professional teams using the same name...
 
Worst names:

OKC Thunder (Named after weather that makes my dog bark like crazy in the middle of the night)
Indiana Pacers (Reminds me of old people walking on treadmills at the gym)
Denver Nuggets (Chicken nuggets are inferior to chicken tenders)
LA Clippers (Makes me think of people who cut hair, which is one of my least favorite activities to pay for)
New Jersey Nets (name just sucks)

Why? The Kings and Bobcats suck not because of where they are. Seattle is paying money to see Bobcats. If the team is good, people will come in both of those cities.

Atlanta is the team that needs to be moved. There team is good, yet I still see very poor fan support.

Second off: Before we got the Hornets, I was a big fan of the Stockton and Malone teams. In a perfect world the Jazz name would have been left in New Orleans, but that ship sailed 30+ years ago. I don't even really want it now -- too much history of the name is tied to SLC. Unfair to both cities and franchises. I know that the VAST majority of New Orleanian fans want to get rid of the Hornets name -- that name deserves to be in NC and never should have left.

And Finally: Stay classy SLC. Good to know we aren't the only fan base with a few ***holes.

Since NO seems to be a temporary destination for NBA teams until they find their permanent home how about the NO Layovers?
 
He have leverage here. We want the name, "Saints", their next two first round draft picks, and Gordon. And some cash.

That being said, I would hate being the Utah Saints. How stupid could that be? Talk about cutting half of our population out of the name. That would be an awful marketing idea.
