Lol slow European hands
Portis is scary.

I can see why Mirotic would want out of Chicago. Definitely.

There is basis. It's called history of what draft picks are. You can look at the history of each pick slot and see what they have become. You have no basis to make a determination on if that player will be better than Mirotic. You have no basis to say the player will be worse.
Lmfao, is this?
Edit: Listen up guys! No one drafted in 2021 will every be better than Hill and no one drafted in 2022 will be better than Ingles. So just run this mill as is. No brainer.

Spence Checketts (not the most reliable source for sure) says Mirotic to Utah is real... not done, but teams are talking.
So I guess he can read Espn.com too and make statements that would almost surely be true... but add one more sauce to the story.
My only concern with Mirotic is his defense. We tried that last year with lyles and it was brutal. I hope he isn’t as bad as I remember him to be. Cause even with Gobert back there. If you can’t stay in front of your guy, it makes anyone vulnerable behind you.

I mean, we dont need anyone to tell us the Jazz are discussing Mirotic, it's an obvious thing they would talk about and be interested in.
I do not think DL will trade another 1st away. Lesson learned with George Hill walking. He may trade Hood, Favors, Burks, maybe even Exum. Will be interesting to see what happens Jan 15
Every trade and player is a failure when you measure them with "do we win a title" or "does he help us win a title" it is so hard and rare to win a title. You want a building block that helps you win... Niko can be that. His timeline is fine and it is hard to line up timelines perfectly... in part because young guys flame out all the time. We can worry about championship windows when we are a consistent playoff team.
Get Niko if the price is right... pay him in two years if he's worth it. We will still need another big piece.
I would be pretty furious if they traded Exum.
Bulls would value him, he's young, cheap, and doesn't help them win a single game this year (they're tanking for a top 3 pick).
I would be furious if they gave him more than $8 million per year on his next deal (barely more than the cap hold).I would be pretty furious if they traded Exum.

I understand that completely. My counter argument is this - is it worth getting rid of our best current assets (Hood, expirings, Favors) for Mirotic OR maybe try to get a top end lottery pick for this year or next? Do we use our assets for Mirotic or do we use our assets for a younger higher risk / higher reward type target?
Yeah, so can we have that guy?Portis is scary.
