I have my panties in a wad because the adults of the nation are collectively swatting the butts of my Tea Party brats for acting like babies. That big bad meanies so mean so vitriol cuz they won't give me my way. Let's give up on democracy and refuse to perform our constitutional duties. Screw the nation, I hope it burns to the ground OBAMACARE!

If you really are upset, and I doubt it, then call yout senator and congress man. Get your family, friends and neighbors to do so.
 
Reports are that no headway at all was made at the white house dinner between dems and repubs. Looks like this will drag into at least next week. Then we start approaching the debt ceiling deadline of 10/17.

Federal workers, dependents and programs are being offered up to score cheap political points. Absolutely disgusting. ****ing ********.
 
I've already got friends looking for any type of job to hold them over because they just know this will take a while.
It just ticks me off.

Is this the sort of crap it takes to get most apathetic Americans to start to care about their government and do something about it, or will we just grin and bear it like the other crap?
Like boiling a frog, us being the frogs?
 
Anyone who claims that the Democrats caused or wanted this shutdown probably need to start paying attention:

“We’re very excited,” said Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.). “It’s exactly what we wanted, and we got it.”

“It’s wonderful,” said Rep. John Abney Culberson (R-Tex.), clapping his hands to emphasize the point. “We’re 100 percent united!”

Great advice. We called Senator Mike Lee's office and he told us it's either defund Obamacare or usher in socialism and betray God. So he's voting to bring on the apocalypse and have his Tea Party save us from eternal hellfire and brimstone, to hell with the livelihood of those involved and his sworn in constitutional duties as a senator.

His TP resolution was too strong for constituents to sway the vote. I'm sorry, I tried.

A Cubs spokesperson released a statement to the media, stating, “We were all thrilled for an opportunity to participate in this year’s playoffs, but unfortunately the situation in Washington has our hands tied, and we will be forced to prematurely begin our off-season. We felt very confident about our chances to take home the World Series this year, but this government shutdown, and this government shutdown alone, is responsible for us having to wait until next year to win it all.”

Makes me wonder, how many paychecks will congress and the pres lose in all this, or are they getting paid anyway?

Please, they get paid in full in time. Some are forgoing checks or donating it to charity until this is resolved. Or at least that's what they say but to me their word is worthless.
