Arrived a little early for Jazz pre-draft workout today. Bumped into Jerry Sloan, who was on his way out. Must have been asked to watch ...
Players working out for Utah today include PGs Myck Kabongo (Texas) and Nate Wolters (South Dakota State). And it's "Mike," not "Mick" ...Kabongo and his family immigrated to the United States from the Congo when he was six.
Jazz staff not made available to the media, but I did see Jeff Hornacek. Wish I could ask him about Philly, Charlotte, Phoenix jobs but ...
Colton Iverson says transferring after 3 years at Minnesota for 1 year at Colorado St. was "high-risk, high-reward" strategy that paid off.
Iverson is listed as a 7-footer who weighs 255 pounds. I believe it. Legit size.
Correction: Myck Kabongo and family immigrated from the Congo to Canada when he was six. Lives in Toronto. My apologies.
Long Beach's James Ennis worked out for the Jazz. Knows Bryon Russell: "I have his number. We communicate a lot. He gives me good advice."
What did Russell tell Ennis about the Jazz? "He said they have a good team -- a good team to play for."

Utah Jazz: Workout attendees well aware of team's point guard situation desne.ws/GvcHpBK

"Utah does need a point guard. Everyone's aware of that," Texas guard Myck Kabongo said. "I'm just privileged to be here. I was excited to come out here to Utah."
Kabongo, whose first name is pronounced "Mike," was joined at Saturday's workout at the Jazz's practice facility with two other guards — South Dakota State's Nate Wolters and Florida State's Mike Snaer.
"I know John Stockton played here," Snaer said. "I know it's a great place to play. I would love to come here."
"I remember my dad was a huge Jazz fan going against the Bulls in the finals the last couple of years," Wolters added. "They were fun teams to watch."
