What's new

***Official Ping Pong Day Thread - Tuesday - May 20th - 8 PM ET - ESPN***

i feel bad for wiggins if he gets picked by the cavs. he will be a distant 4th option, and won't be able to be the man of this team. alot of chuckers they have.

No info, no rumor: I would just love 2 c Cleveland & Utah make a trade for #1. So many potential parts. Could dramatically help both teams.

On the plus side, critics of the lottery have a pretty strong case for the NBA to make immediate changes. Also, the Lakers didn't move up, so there's that. On the down side, as mismanaged as the Cavs have been since LeBron left, they continue to get strongly rewarded.

I personally think the lottery the way it does actually works against teams tanking because this is what can happen. Perhaps the league just needs to realize that some franchises suck and they need help so either put a limit on how many times a franchise can be in the Lottery or how many times they can get the number 1 pick. It is ridiculous that Cleveland gets the #1 pick three years in a row. I liked it the way it was before, the lottery is all about money and has very little to do with anything else.

I would like to know what sort of dirt the cavs have on the nba I mean what the hell man

Google Lebron James HGH.

Don't his cheeks look big to you?
Where was the clinic that hooked up Arod and all those baseball players?

....Cleveland is such a sorry city with more pathetic sports teams than you can shake a stick at.....that even though they have scored the top draft choice in 3 of the last 4 years, they haven't made the playoffs in the pathetic Eastern Conference since Lebron left the team! Can you explain that?

They're a moron-filled town that's chalk-full of loser idiots. The Indians stink as do the Browns and Cavs. Cleveland is the mistake by the lake.

To Cavs: #5, #23, 2017 GS first round pick, Kanter.

To Jazz: #1 pick, other stuff...

Cavs get a young big with potential and another strong player at #5, have more picks for future deals.

Jazz get #1 pick to build around.

I think it sounds pretty fair.

How? and Why would Cleveland do this?

I tried and there isn't any trade Cleveland does. Unless they overvalue Kanter and Hayward. Then you are trading Kanter, Hayward and Gordon/Vonleh/Randle for Wiggins.

Burke
Burks
Wiggins
Favors

I wish...

They would laugh at us.
For the same reason they took Bennett last year - they're idiots. I bet they'd consider the #5 and Kanter. They're that stupid.

But then this gives me hope

The only thing Cleveland Cavs are good at is winning the lottery.

puahaha. so true. this will happen

pick wiggins - wiggins become passive - become kyrie's lil robin. loses all confidence.
pick embiid - broke back in year 3 - next greg oden
pick parker - leaves nba for missionary. for 7 years

depressed kyrie irving leaves for good and wins a championship for another team.

hell with dem cavs

Next year will have to be our tank year.

I say give up Hayward. Keep the salary cap clear. Tank the hell out of next year. Win less than 10 games. Trade assets. Guarantee ourselves a franchise player in next years draft

I'm tired of drafting nice pieces. Smart, Vonleh, Randle, Gordon, can't even start over the garbage we already have. They make little to no difference next. Nice players, but not franchise players.

If we want to build a culture of losing, then we need to maintain what we have been the past few years.... Too good to get a high draft pick. Not good enough to make the playoffs.

Well if we tank this year the same thing could happen. Hopefully, the Jazz get a player and he turns out better than expected. Maybe Orlando takes Smart over Exum and the Jazz end up with Exum or we select Vonleh and he is better than people expect. I am not shocked or surprised the Jazz got the 5th pick but it could be worse, we could have ended up like Boston. I personally think the Lottery has to go.

If a Franchise has 4 consecutive years in the lottery their pick is automatically at the end of the lottery or 14th pick, after eight years the franchise loses it pick. Just use the regular season records to determine draft order. Teams will have just as much incentive to win as they do and even more if you start penalizing them for being in the lottery range.

That is way too much to give up. I know everyone is disappointed right now but don't lose your heads.

I'm serious.

CLE should lose their franchise.

The team sucks.
The ownership sucks.
They have made a mockery of the draft system.
There are better pro-NBA cities that will be, at least, less embarrassment.

Move them to Seattle.
