What's new

OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

I prefer watching Burks at PG over Mo. If we're going to have a chucker of a PG with questionable handles I prefer that he be young.

This will be a big test to see if Ty really gets it as some claim. Burks has to play over Tinsley, and Watson.

What has to happen for the jazz to sign and trade a player? Would millsap, Jefferson, mo have to be restricted players?? I know that "sign and trades" will no longer be allowed after this year so I wonder of the jazz loaded up on players with this on mind. Maybe there is more value in s&t... Thoughts?

Mo Tweeted: Pin is out, let the rehab begin.

Why in the trade thread? Because maybe the Jazz don't need to trade for a stop-gap pg afterall.

Only teams over the LT can't get into S&T.

what's the story with maynor these days? has he just fallen off or what?

Maynor is on the last year of his contract, and will be more expensive then Jackson who is shaping up to be a good backup is younger and cheaper then Maynor. Maynor will probably want at least 3 years at 3-4 million a year while Jackson is under the Thunder's control the next 2 years after this year a about 1.3 million a year.

Burks plays best when he's playing the 2.
I think if they both get a lot of floor-time together, Mo & Burks > Burks & Foye.
I only wish Gordon could guard tough SFs so we could see Mo-Burks-Gordon together!

I think I am at peace with not make a trade this year. My soul has grown numb to the dream. It isn't going to happen. Lets just hope we can make the playoffs and get out of the 2nd rnd.

Go Jefferson.

Yay

The Nets are all out of bullets. They're going to have to win with what they got.

Billy King's way of getting in the NY papers above the Knicks, and trying to force a trade by pushing the other team into a corner. It didn't work on Carmelo, didn't work for Howard, didn't work for Ben Gordon or Josh Smith, so he is trying it with Milsap. King will be unemployed soon.

The Nets are trying to win now. Based on how much they were willing to give up for a declining Gerald Wallace, I wouldn't be surprised to see them give up Humphries and Brooks, both of whom really mean **** to us, as well as a 1st rounder next year to get Millsap. He really solidifies their team and what they project to be a late 1st rounder doesn't mean so much to them.

I'd do that deal really hoping Deron and Lopez miss a ton of games next year and that JJ and GW continue their sharp decline.

Maynor's already been more expensive than Jackson. The Thunder had to take on Harpring's expiring contract to get Maynor. Plus he missed a lot of time when he tore his ACL.
