What's new

Playoffs have sucked

Playoffs may suck but Barclays center looks like an awesome arena. Oh, and the bulls might make the first round more interesting.

How would we have remained competitive against OKC?

Very simple! Mo stays in front of Westbrook, keeping him from getting to the basket while not fouling him......and then Hayward plays ball denial on Durant, keeping his scoring under control......while Big Al dominates the paint with an assortment of baby hooks, up and unders, fallaways, and wide open 8 foot jumpshots as the Thunder big boys have to respect his outstanding first move to the basket without dribbling, just like Malone use to do!

Deron goes off in game 1. Thibs puts Hinrich on him exclusively this game, subs him in and out based on Deron being in the game, and defends him perfectly. It'd be amazing to have a coach actually make adjustments.

Bulls/Nets is now a series.

Grizzlies/Clippers game is great right now. Should be at least a 6 game series, if not 7.

yeah this game is pretty good back and forth. I hope the grizzlies take the series in 6. Beginning to get annoyed with Blake Griffin.

Clippers are just flat out a terrible matchup for the Grizzlies. Too much guard speed exploits their defensive weakness in the pick n roll.

I think I've seen Corbin adjust his tie once or twice during the game.

Competitive games.

Granted not every 8th or 7th seed will be able to beat their 1st or 2nd seed opponents in a series. But at least remain competitive. even the mid seeds are being blown out. Indy v Atlanta? Chicago v Brooklyn? Memphis v la? All hellishly awful blowouts. Houston blown out by 29? I get it, you won't beat okc in a series. But a 29 point blow out? Who is going to watch that? It's the playoffs not the pelicans!
I was pretty surprised by the blowouts. I though a number of games would be competitive. Chicago won tonight over Brooklyn. That's the first surprise.

exciting game. dang Chris Paul is clutch.

...yeah, he's clutch alright. Two FLAGRANT palming violations on his way to the basket for the winning shot! When you palm the ball like that, the defensive player has NO IDEA whatsoever whether the man has picked up his dribble!!! But that's today's NBA! Palm the ball with impunity, blow by your man to the basket......and lay it in or dunk it!
