Playoffs have sucked

The Jazz are about 3-4 years behind of the Tankers and Denver.
Damn this is a really good playoff series.

Lol everybody here hates Mark Jackson, hence why everybody here thought he was going to be a horrible coach. They tanked last year, and Mark got his team.

Can figure out why the media and even Jazz fanz don't give the Spurs any respect or appreciation for what they have done and are doing in today's NBA! They play team ball, have high assist totals and shoot a decent percentage! They play as close to the way the old Jazz played as can possibly be! When the call a time out to set up a play.....they run it to perfection 90% of the time! I don't know about you guys, but the playoff games I will go out of my way to watch.....will involve the Spurs....and ONLY the Spurs!

Watching Bull vs Nets sucks.
2 of our former All Stars going at it and Deron looking like his former self.

That's not the worst part.

The worst part is I think Bulls without D Rose has just as much talent as the Jazz does IMO. Their 3 best players are Boozer, Noah and Deng. We can easily match that talent in Jefferson, Millsap and Hayward.

The only difference? They have a better coach.

Ty sux.

So, Deron Williams didn't want to extend with the Jazz because we were a 50-win team that couldn't make it past the second round, but he's more than willing to extend with the Nets, even though they are 50-win team that can't make it to the second round.

What a fine, principled young man.

Mark Jackson lucked into finding out Harrison Barnes is a much better stretch 4 than an actual SF.

He extended with the Nets because he can be GM there. He can't do that in Utah.

I think it also had to do with the fact the owner was willing to spend money and he was now in a location that could attract major FA's. Problem is the FO sucks and they got the wrong players.

The FO must have consulted with DWill before they traded for Wallace & Johnson though right?

Also don't forget, we got stuck with Big Al because DWill wanted him here in the first place.

I'm pretty sure market size had something to do with deron's decision to extend.

In Utah, he could average 50 pts and 30 assists and never get any recognition from the national media. Brooklyn? Not exactly the same thing. It's all about the dollar signs.

With Westbrook out for good I think the west just became a lot more open. I can see 6 teams making it now. Everyone but Houston and LA. I'm pulling foe Memphis, OKC, S.A. In that order

I wonder how the Jazz would've done against OKC now with Westbrook out.
Our PG was the weakest defensive spot and with Westbrook out, it would've been a good series. I think we could defend Durant with Carrolle/Hayward/Marvin better than Houston can defend Durant. I dunno, I think it would've made for a good series, we match up better against OKC than Houston does.

Not reading the rest of the thread. The playoffs may have sucked but Steph Curry is ****ing amazing. That third quarter tonight was possibly the best shooting display I have ever seen in all my years of watching basketball.

I don't. It's clear to see we have neither the talent level, nor the Coach, nor the "heart" to even get out of the 1st round of the playoffs.

Just look at our elimination game against Memphis. It wasn't that we lost. We were just so flat. We didn't have the talent, the coaching or the energy to even beat Memphis let alone OKC or any teams in the West IMO except may be HOU.

We would have been embarrassed yet again.

It's all about matchups in the NBA and Memphis is just a much much much better version of the Jazz. They rely on their post up players just as we do, but Zbo and Marc are the best frontline in the NBA. When we don't have the frontline matchup, we almost always lose.
It's the reason we suck so bad against Sacramento for example (Thompson + Cousins >> Sap + Al).

OKC doesn't have a good frontline, therefore we would've had a better chance.
