Purple & Blues - Utah Jazz at Oklahoma City Thunder: Keys to the Game

I know everyone misses shots. My point is Hayward misses a lot in big moments when we need him to step up and make those big shots. I mean Russell hit a big 3 in George Hill's eye with good D. Hayward misses a wide open 3 on the other end. Russell comes back with a big time drive and an and one. If you're the guy, the max money leader, you gotta step up in those moments and take the game by the throat like Russ did. Can't shrink and disappear.

Hayward has made plenty of big shots late. Cavs game winner comes to mind. He's been fine for us. Unfortunate that he missed it, but its not completely on him. Russ has shot his team out of a game plenty of times. You're cherry picking because Russ has done this twice to us this season, but not looking at all the cases where he lost the game with his strategy too.

The team down 3 can line up everyone at the FT line, but the defending team would just stay between them and the 3-point line.

honestly, i think a double teamed shot from the 3 pt line is better than a one footed falling over heave from almost half court. you have a 1% of maybe drawing a foul call on the balanced shot.

And everyone crying about how we cant beat the Thunder, we blew them out the 1st time we played them this season. The two losses have been by 2 and 3 points.

So with 1 second left, down 3, what do you run to get a decent look, albeit double teamed, from right at the 3-point line?

Westbrook came up huge at the end there. That three with Hill in his face was a great shot. I was impressed by that. Jazz had a chance. 6 point swing between Hayward's three and Westbrook's and 1 was too much to overcome. It happens. Need to move on to the next one.

To even be in that game is great... they shot like 70% from three

I like how akirac was just doing reverse jinxes the other games he was a big negative gaping ******* but now he is just being a jackass.

I don't blame Hayward for this loss, he kept us in the game until the end of the third quarter. He went cold offensively on the 4th but it happens...they were scoring easily even without his offensive contribution in the 4th quarter.

Burks had his best game of the season.

Likewise, I can't even count with my fingers and toes how many times Hayward has made a critical/dumb turnover in clutch situations over the years...Do you really want to go into a comparison on who is more clutch between Westbrook and Hayward? It's not even close. I know Hayward's our guy, but let's not completely ignore reality here.
