TCU at Utah

that video gave me goosebumps, look how nutty that crowd is...so instead of last names there will be "honor," "integrity," "country," "service" and "duty" on the back. that will be a bit weird i'll be honest. it's not like we are like army, navy, or air force. but like you said it's for a good cause, i guess that's all that matters.

I heard CBSC is having a free preivew that week to allow more people to watch the game. I have no idea if that is the truth but I'll roll with it. :)
I hope you and Salty are right, I took half the day off work since couldn't record it because I don't have the high enough sports package for CBSS and unlike the last 2-3yrs I wasn't going to call and add it for 1-2 months and then cancel it.

Those uniforms are awful. I hope you guys get destroyed now for wearing them.
I was hoping the camo would somehow incorporate red but they're ok I don't dislike them and it is for a very good cause so you know what you and your comment can go do???? You can go have a nice day!

Are the helmets going to be different as well? Thought I heard a rumor that the helmets will be black with the red ute logo.

expected, the ESPN guys brought up how TCU killed us last year. We've got to prove it on the field we are a much better team this year.

It's really stupid to use last year's results to back up this year's play.

Last year, Utah only beat SJSU by 10. This year, Utah beat SJSU by 53.
Last year, Utah only beat CSU by 7. This year, Utah beat CSU by 53.
Last year, Utah only beat Wyoming by 12. This year, Utah beat Wyoming by 24.
Last year, Utah beat UNLV by 20. This year, Utah beat UNLV by 28.
Last year, Utah beat UNM by 31. This year, Utah beat UNM by 42.

Obviously this year's team is much, much better than last year's. TCU can't say the same thing. Will it be enough to negate the gap? Who knows. But I am optimistic.

The talking heads on TV don't give a crap if we beat so and so by 40-50 points. Until we prove it against TCU they will be unconvinced. Basically, we have to prove it vs. TCU or otherwise it will mean nothing to them.....I'm seeing a lot of people pick against us. Hopefully use it as motivation.

Those talking heads don't set the point spread though. The reason TCU is favored is because the Air Force score was so close (a week after TCU blew Air Force out).

If Utah had blown Air Force out, they would be favored (no matter what the "experts" on ESPN say).

Listening to Mike & Mike this morning and they had Brad Edwards(BCS "expert") and he was saying he think that even if Utah beats TCU they will NOT pass up Boise in the standings. O_o. He also said Alabama has about a 85% chance of playing for the NC if they win out. No matter what happens to the non-AQ schools. He thinks TCU has the best shot of the non-AQ schools to play for the NC still. So even if Utah wins it might not be that sweet after all.

Last year, Asiata was on the sidelines. Having him in the backfield changes a lot of things.

Your Ute homerism is nothing short of nauseating. Your one of the reasons I rarely go into a Utah vs BYU thread.

Just to clarify before you go on some absurd rant about me being a BYU fan, I'm not.

You're annoying.

Wow, dude. Get over yourself. I like how people on the board try and gang rape others and over use jokes that aren't funny in the first place over and over again. Is there any doubt Utah wouldn't be favored if they blew out Air Force? Think about it, why wouldn't they be? (It's at home, 21 win streak, they're undefeated, arguably played and won better teams, have never lost to TCU at home, the list goes on) Do you think TCU would be ranked higher because TCU is ranked a few spots higher than them? (If so, you're mistaken) Salty has a point, and for you to be so arrogant and bitchy is lame.

I watched Gary Patterson's entire press conference (over 30 minutes) and I was shocked to hear him mention the game at home against San Diego State 5 times. That's the game after this Saturday. I got the feeling that he was almost looking past Utah. I know that's probably not 100% the case but it blew me away that he had his mind past the Utah game so much. I guarantee you Coach Whit wouldn't mention Notre Dame 5 times in a press conference until it was the week of that game.

So far only Jesse Palmer and Trever Matich from ESPN has picked Utah. Jesse Palmer picked them because Utah is so balanced and Matich picked them because of the home field and altitude.
