I can see why TCU is favored right now. TCU is ranked higher in every poll. TCU 2-0 vs top 30. Utah 0-0 vs top 30. TCU Strength of Schedule 60, Utah 105.

I wouldn't be shocked if Utah won, but it's not surprising TCU is a slight favorite.

I watched 08 game and our playcalling was terrible, I can't believe we were able to run the table with Ludwig calling the action. I also noticed on TCU's first posession they ran a illegal pick off move that led to a big play and TCU's first points. Was it karma he missed those late field goals? I don't know. I also noticed Dalton overthrew guys on crucial plays. If Dalton beats us with his arm so be it, we got to watch his running ability, he's quicker than the average QB. But Dalton hasn't proven himself as a big game QB, the Fiesta Bowl he looked terrible. I'm sure he wants some redemption for 08 but our D needs to step up and get some pressure on him.

But I think special teams might be the biggest factor that some people will overlook. Both teams have dynamic punt/kickoff returners. Also punting and field goal kicking will be big, if we can pin the Horned Frogs deep on punts it would be huge and the crowd will become more involved.

Wow, dude. Get over yourself. I like how people on the board try and gang rape others and over use jokes that aren't funny in the first place over and over again. Is there any doubt Utah wouldn't be favored if they blew out Air Force? Think about it, why wouldn't they be? (It's at home, 21 win streak, they're undefeated, arguably played and won better teams, have never lost to TCU at home, the list goes on) Do you think TCU would be ranked higher because TCU is ranked a few spots higher than them? (If so, you're mistaken) Salty has a point, and for you to be so arrogant and bitchy is lame.

I thought about this and you know what, Archie? You're right. I was way too emotional and vanilla.

That being said, you're still a scum sucking hypocrite. <3

No. 3 TCU 24, No. 5 Utah 21. Yes, I know Utah has a 21-game home winning streak. Yes, I know TCU is 0-3 in Utah. But I am picking the Horned Frogs for two reasons: 1. I think the defense is better. 2. I think Andy Dalton and his experience will be a big key. These teams are so evenly matched, turnovers could make a difference. Utah has struggled until recently in creating them. TCU is at plus-5. Utah is at minus-1 in turnover margin. ~ Andrea Adelson, ESPN

It has been mentioned before, but I was listening to ESPN radio last night and the BCS "expert" (can't remember his name) that was on was giving TCU the nod over Utah and Boise St in the NC picture for one win only and that was the win over Baylor. But that's ok, I like the "no respect" angle to get the Real U pumped up for the game. The game will be close, but I think Whit is a superior coach to Patterson, and as previously mentioned, it's at home. Go U!

Yahoo article on the game:
https://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1148350

all 4 people picking TCU, even the guy who admits that TCU has never won in SLC. I hate David Fox's remark: "Each week, I'm more and more convinced TCU is better on both sides of the ball than it was last season, when the Horned Frogs beat Utah 55-28. " I guess Utah hasn't impressed people in spite of the blow outs. Not to say TCU hasn't played well especially defensively, but Utah has looked like a dynamic team on offense.

Considering I am not that much of a college football fan, it was very strange to me that I was waking up today (Friday) and this game was the very first thought on my mind. I'm pretty damn excited. Biggest game held in Salt Lake City, ever.

Nice how some of these "experts" use the SOS (Strength of Schedule) to defend their argument even if the numbers don't match up.

Two nights ago, I had a dream about this game. It was a shoot out. Utah had the ball down 68 to 69 with a couple minutes left. I woke up and didn't get to see what happened. I've been nervous/excited all week.

SOS get's played out way too much and the "experts" always target non-bcs teams like utah. whatever. we won't have to worry about it next year....

I find it odd that no where in the article they mention that Utah has traditionally played well in big games while TCU has choked in big games in the past. All I know is Kyle will have the team ready and we got reading material for extra motivation.

Well biggest Football game. That minor NCAA Championship featuring Bird and Magic would probably trump it.

Thanks man, well said.

This is such a huge game. Biggest college football game in Utah- ever. What is even better than that is that Utah will probably play games this big often in the future. Utah may very well host the PAC 12 championship game next year....

It's great all these "experts" are picking TCU. That just means all these voters should move Utah up quite a bit after Utah beats them tomorrow.

11 hours from kickoff. In 3 hours I'm supposed to be waking up to drive down to RES and act like a jackass behind the Gameday stage.

And I can't sleep. Too damn excited. **** it. I'll just stay up.

Go Utes.

I'll look for you JJ. You'll be the weird white guy wearing black, right???

I'm guessing that when they decided to do the blackout, they didn't anticipate a 70 degree sunny day.

I think the Utes will win actually and go undefeated but come bowl season, won't get a BCS Championship invite, even if Auburn or Oregon lose prior.

I think Bama runs the table and gets in.
