The official declare who you want the Jazz to draft thread

Ok, I've been very limited in my ability to research players this year, but what the hell.

#24- I think someone drops that nobody is considering here right now. Not sure who that is, but I'll just go ahead and go with Kennard. He either drops or maybe we move up to get him or Mitchell.(I know, this goes against everything I've said about Utah being limited in moves like this with Hayward's future in question, but WTF anyways).

#30- Possible trade to move up, otherwise I'll go with Bell.

#42- Again, possibly traded, but I'll go with Kuzma or Mason here.

#55- Whoever. Doesn't matter. Any guy is fine. Or trade it. Or sell it. Don't care. You know what, **** it, I'll go with Vezenkov here.

Oh well, that's my best half-assed effort. Kennard is a huge reach, but I think it's destiny, as he looks like he belongs on a bar stool next to Ingles. And he can shoot, which is nice.

Spurs got Manu with pick 55 from memory.

just looked it up he was the 57th pick in 99. what a bargain.

Isiah Thomas was 60, so no doubt you can find good players anywhere. For me, this year however, I just haven't had the time to make well educated choices, and am really just winging it. The deeper you get in the draft, the more it's a complete crap shoot. If anybody gets 2 of our picks right, I'll be shocked, let alone try and nail 4.

the end of this year's draft has some intriguing guys... guys in the 30-40s can fall pretty far on draft night. If there was something we could do the the #30th pick to help us with a win now cost controlled piece I might move that pick and draft guys with 24, 42, 55 that we can bring in now... rather than selling a later pick.

Today I feel like...

24- Semi Ojeleye
30- Frank Jackson
42- One of the Bigs that will fall (Bradley, Swanigan, Kuzma, Bolden, Lessort, Bryant)
55- Dozier, or Iwundu

I threw in the part about selling the pick just for you.;)

But yeah, with the 2-way contracts available, hopefully we won't see the Jazz selling any picks this year. I'm ok with trading any of them, though.

24. Derrick White - I really like this guy. Not saying he is a star, but he seems like a contributor. He is long, smart, can score, and is still developing physically. Some worry that he is too slow, but with size, feel, and IQ you can overcome that (See Ingles, Joe).

30. At this spot you just take whatever 6'7"+ wing falls (I call Ferguson).

42. No idea... how about Dwayne Bacon

55. Vlatko Cancar - when in doubt look for shooting

Can I dream that we trade up and grab John Collins? He would be perfect for us and I think he's the most NBA ready player in the draft

I even bet he's one of the top 5 or so best players in this draft looking back on it in a couple years

John Collins doesn't play any defense. You want to trade up for him? How is he the perfect fit for us?

He'd be a terrible fit, but ya, you can.

I guess terrible fit is strong, but I dont see him being anything the Jazz want. Bad on defense and no outside game beyond 10 feet.

Using the current DX mock I would want

24- Ojeleye
30- Bell
42- F Jackson
55- Thornwell or Vezenkov... maybe Marcus Keene

You mean Zach I'm pretty sure.
