What's new

The Walking Dead

I really enjoyed the premier. Rick still has his edge. Carol has joined the group of true killers (Rick, Michonne, Daryl and now Carol). Now they just need to get Beth and have Morgan join them. Then go on a killing spree.

Still don't think we have seen the last of Garrett. He will want payback.

That trough scene was pretty rough, but Carole is a major Bad-***. The reappearance of Morgan at the end is interesting. Is it Morgan, the guy who saved Rick in the beginning, or Morgan, the guy who went off the deep end?

I also wonder...

If it was Negan and his band of outlaws that came into Terminus and turned the people of Terminus from cattle to butchers.

Exactly. Is he here to join Rick or here to kill him? Man I hope he joins him. Then free Beth and Father Gabriel joins the group.

That is Rick, Carl, Michone, Glenn, Maggie, Daryl, Carol, Sasha, Bob, Tyrese, Morgan, Beth, Gabriel, Eugene, Rosita, Abraham, Tara and Judith (baby).

18 people. To many. I say up to 4 of them die. Personally I say Sasha gets it and Bob dies trying to save her and that turns Tyrese into Ricks personal killer as he is just dead inside and will do anything. Then I think Tara and Glenn get is and it just hollows Maggie out and she becomes as useful as Judith.

Fun episode! I was eagerly anticipating this premier since the cliffhanger last season. I was not disappointed.

I concur with all of the preceding posts regarding the season premier. Loved the action and the fact that they finally got together and did something. I was disappointed in last season, although they did need the character development.

And YB is right, that trough scene was tough to watch. Seriously brutal. If they can keep this vibe going they might start to rise into the Breaking Bad stratosphere. I do not think this is likely, but maybe just maybe if they can keep the season progressing like this episode.

edit: Also Carol has now climbed into my top 3 list of characters I absolutely do not want to see die.

And Glenn has officially become Hershel/Dale (the group conscience). So he will probably die this season, maybe at the end, or in the first episode of next season.

nope not negans guys. they took back terminus and killed and ate those bad guys.

EDIT:
nope if it was negan. negan is dead. since it was the same guy rick rescued out of the trailer with the face tats. rewatch both scenes. it is the same guy who gets rescued screams we are the same and is then eaten by a Walker.

I feel like you didn't really follow the time jumping very well.

Premiere was good

I expected them to spend at least an episode in the container and most of the season at Terminus. Glad they didn't. I'm really not interested in a back story on the goober "i have the cure" guy. I have a feeling it may be coming in the next few episodes. I just pray they keep it short.

Agreed. He is one of the worst actors I have seen, or maybe he is being directed poorly, idk.

I would be cool if this season focuses on getting the goober to DC. I do not want another governor situation. And I am very glad they didn't waste much time in terminus. That could have really bogged down things if they spent much time there.

So apparently you can watch this all on amc.com for free. No need to be illegal and all. Watching it now. Carol just came back.

well you saw flashback from terminus people. being kept in train car and faux negan and co, using and raping them.
somehow they overpowered them and probably killed everyone except faux negan.
faux negan was kept in container now with beard and lose hair then freed by rick consequently killed by a zombie.

just checked those ******** are discriminating on country/location!

wtf gays can get married in guise of equal laws. but i cant watch this cus of my location wtf happened to equal rights

So I watched it, for some reason, and I guess the season opener was a little better than the show has been in the past 3 seasons. There was actually some action which was cool. It's still the same old repetitive stuff though.

I like this kind of post-apocalyptic story in an environment that the characters are scavenging the old ruins that are full of possibly anything. The type of atmosphere that whistles the fact that nothing is going to get better which yet cannot keep them from exploring and trying to live through city ruins is a concept that I like a lot.

So they follow up a decent season premiere with an incredibly boring episode. Good ole' Walking Dead. Took 45 minutes to reintroduce the villains in episode 1.

I actually thought that episode was necessary and a decent amount happened. They introduced Gabriel, killed some zombies gathered supplies etc., Bob's leg was eaten, and Darrell spotted the car that took Beth. They set up the next few episodes pretty well imo. This season is starting to look like the best one yet.
