Trade Gordo + Trey for the #3?

Ingram or Simmons - I'd be happy with either.

But how to get #2? ...Heyward + #12, I'm fine with that. But would LA do it? Too bad Boston didn't land a top 2 pick.

How about trading Hayward and 12th to Boston for the 3rd pick and then trading again with LA for the 2nd pick for Burks, 3rd pick and future 1st (GS pick). ( ´_ゝ`)

Where is this idea coming from that Gordon is going to leave or that he is going to the celtics to play for his college coach. I have never heard Gordon talk about leaving. So we might as well get ready for Gobert and Favors leaving too. They are going to want max money too.

Trading Gordon better bring back a proven player and not some young potential player unless you are ready to be a lotto team for a few more years. Players will stay if they feel their team is moving towards winning. Jazz need to fix their bench by adding more proven talent instead of trading away their most consistent player for the hope of hitting a homerun.

Beside the fact that I highly doubt the Lakers or Philly and even Boston are just going to give away their picks. While I agree Boston is the most likely one to trade the pick it won't just be to reunite the coach with his college player. Ainge will ask for more than what we are offering.

Think about how little is set in stone with at what spot those young kids are getting drafted.

Think 2013 draft. Who knew the skinny kid from Greece playing in the 2nd league would show promise to develop into a top20 player like 3 years later.
The only team that was really thirsty for him was Atlanta, and they couldn't secure the pick to get it done.

Just because you draft at #3 doesn't mean you're gonna have a worse result even if it may seem like that based on NCAA play.
I'd be very intrigued to draft someone like Murray when I remember how much pressure accurate pull up shooters can put on the defense.

Who heard LeBron talk about leaving Cleveland or Miami, who heard Chris Paul talk about leaving New Orleans until he demanded a trade. Guys aren't going to complain because their reps will take a hit. That doesn't mean guys don't have their agents talking to the GM's telling them the players demands.

I would only trade Gordon for the first or second pick... since Philly won't trade the first pick then it's really only number 2.

Gordon will stay if we want him. He will lose a lot of money by signing elsewhere... He drove a Honda Accord as a rookie making a ton of money. Gordon will not bypass money... he just won't do it. His representatives won't want him to bypass a lot of money since they get a cut.

We are in the driver's seat here and the real question is would you rather have Ingram on a rookie deal or Gordo on a megamax? or if it's the third pick it's Gordo on the megamax or Bender/Dunn/Murray/Brown?

Because it would represent a significant retool that would probably require other pieces be moved I'd rather not trade Hayward. You could talk me into Favors for #3 and other stuff (Bradley) though because we have Lyles and could find a PF to help easier than a replacement at SF.

Dear Miller Co.

The rebuild was botched. Bad. Please put a product on the floor so I can start paying attention to games again instead of having background noise.

Sincerely,

franklin

And if you are not paying attention to what people here are saying and the fan angst you are f'in stupid.

how about Favors, Burke, #12, and the OKC pick for #2?

Favors is good, but he puts a serious limit on what we could be offensively if playing him and Gobert together. Favors is too god not to start, but he is no replacement for Rudy at the 5.

Lyles needs minutes to develop into our Dreymond Green.

Withey is a decent backup for Gobert.

Hayward can play some 4.

Big playmaking wings are the winning formula. Add Ingram.

We'd have so much flexibility for how we could play:

Lyles, Hayward, Ingram could fill the minutes at the 4.

If you wanted to go really big, you could play Withey and Gobert together for spurts.

As for wings/playmakers, we'd have:

Hayward, Ingram, Burks, Hood, Exum, Neto, Lyles. That would be amazing for flexibility.

Favors is really good, and I'm not denying that, but he really puts a damper on our offense with his slow tempo, inability to pass or spread the floor. Defense is great and everything, but it is what you do after you failed to score. In the new NBA, a smaller PF who can close out and switch (playing Hayward at PF), as well as spread the floor, is really all you need. Keeping Derrick in the starting lineup will forever limit the unique abilities of our wings.

No every wing is built with the skillsets of Hayward, Hood, Burks, and Exum. That could be such a weapon. Derrick is great, but as a whole, I think we could be better with his subtraction and the addition of Ingram.

Could we swap Alec for Favors and include a few more second round picks?

you could do whatever you wish in your scenario. I, like Alec a ton, and think his potential is still very much untapped. Alec has elite skills that are highly coveted in this new NBA. He can get to the rim at will, he can draw fouls with the best of them, and he is shooting the 3 at a 40% clip. I don't trade that. I develop that, and design my team in a way to accentuate that, i.e., move Favors, so I could design an offense for the skill sets of my wings.

It would likely require both favors and burks to get it done... Maybe favors and hood. Favors or Hayward would almost certainly have to be in the deal.

I only see you can ever post when you WANT TRADE HERO FAVORS!!!!!

Can't we trade gordon for picks and players? Why only picks?
Maybe Boston loves hayward enough to give us third pick and isiah thomas or something. Maybe we throw in trey burke and a future pick.
