What's new

Trey Burke/Chris Paul

do you like the jazz at 100:1 to win the championship next year too?

or burke to win RoY at 4:1?

my moneys on miami for the 3rd consecutive season, and my RoY pick is Victor Oladipo

ok thats great u found similarities, WOW, stunning

when is someone going to make a forward looking statement about Burke vs CP3

no one here would put their money where their mouth is

(except me, of course)

Craft's one of the best defenders (in the game)," Burke said afterward. "You have to give him credit."

Burke still finished with a team-high 15 points, but his efficiency and overall offensive was nowhere near the level it had been at through Michigan's first 16 games.

He turned the ball over, he had to fight for everything, and his last-ditch 3-point attempt -- one that coach John Beilein said he was OK with -- rimmed in and out.

It was one of those days.

"Craft is as good (a defender) as I've ever seen," Beilein said. "He's tremendous.

"He's going to be good, you've just got to applaud that."

Michigan's Columbus-born point guard has now played Ohio State four times in his career -- and he's officially struggled in three of them.

i dont recall too many 2nd round graded PG's giving cp3 trouble in college

peyton siva outplayed burke in the national championship, hes a 2nd round grade guy also

Burke also has about 1 less foul per game which means he isn't playing as agressive as CP3 did. I think Burke can definitely put up near CP3 numbers in steals.

CP3's understudies, Jeff Teague and Eric Bledsoe are both better than Burke, and will give him fits

(Teague is 6'3 and quicker, and Bledsoe is WAY more athletic)

Burke also had more than 3 steals... once last season

CP3 had more than 3 steals, 7 times

Siva didn't outplay him

are you sure?

PG is an extension of the coach on the floor correct?

which team lost their composure in the 2nd half?

the one with the top 10 PG, not the 2nd rounder, right?

Does anyone here remember what people on this board thought about Chris Paul before he was drafted? Is there anyone here who has been on jazzfanz that long? Just curious

Geeze did Trey steal your girlfriend or something? Let the fans be happy and dream a little bit. No harm in that.

This is the dumbest conversation. PGAB is showing how much better CP3 is than Burke. No !@#%, the guy's the best in the game. Then he's also showing how Siva was better than him based on one game. You can argue that one however you want. Siva won the game, so he has that, but Burke got a lousy foul called on him for that block and thus was in foul trouble and played 10 less minutes than Siva.

I'm not sure why PGAB isn't showing us that Magic was better than Jrue Holiday and Mario Chalmers is better than Tony Parker.

Amazing CP3 was shooting 47% from three his last year in college.

Yep, that was one difference that really stood out to me. Close to 10 percentage pts higher than Burke. Wow.

The other was Burke's 4.5" advantage in reach over Paul, despite them being the same height. Wow.

PointGod_AB, seeing as you don't seem to like Try Burke very much, who did you want the Jazz to pick at the Draft?????????????

The board was pretty evenly split between Chris Paul and Deron. And then there was that one guy (TuffTiger?) arguing for Jarett Jack. I was fervently on the Paul side(*). Paul's shooting percentage and explosively were the two main things that impressed me.

(*) although Deron quickly won me over after the season started
