What's new

Trey Burke will play tonight in New Orleans.

Dat Sandy Braille doe. Great job on the Burke love. I think he is going to be a great player for the Jazz.

I hope so, dude. I really think he can be an awesome player for us. He just strikes me as such a quintessential Jazz PG, and I hope it works out for all of our sakes.

Lol he has one good game and all the Burke haters are trying to jump on the Burke bandwagon.

Not I.

He looked good and it was fun to see a real point guard out there but I still see burke as a below average starter in the nba

That was one of his strength in college, he had one of the best Assists/TO ratio in college last year.

We see eye to eye on this bro.

Looks like Stockton was right.. that time off has helped Burke... he looks composed out there. Played with nice pace.

Burke will be fine guys. Seems like his shooting touch is back. He did shoot about 40% from 3's in college (IIRC).

Lillard said it himself that he found it easier putting a shot up in the NBA due to better spacing. If he can get rid of his nerves, I think Burke could be a nice & consistent shooter for us.

O rly....

Told you guys Schroeder is the one to get... we may have gotten too cute by moving up to get Burke.

Should have just grabbed Schroeder and not think too hard about it.

I mean, what is it that Burke has over Schroeder?

Passing: Schroeder
Running an offense: Draw
Shooting: Burke
Leadership: Burke
Athleticism: Schroeder
Defense: Schroeder
Quickness: Draw
Getting to the Rim: Draw
Length/Reach: Schroeder

So that's 4:2 to Schroeder by my count.

True, but his defense more than made up for it.

Can't say the same thing about Burke who also was incredibly inefficient.

Seriously, Burke needs to start hitting his shots.. otherwise we'll always have to be on his case.

What? How? If anything the Jazz PG mold is a pass first PG. I like Burke and think he will be great for Utah but he is a score first PG. Not that there is anything wrong with that but he is not the usual PG mold loved by Utah.
