Twitter feeds leading up to the draft

Speaking of DWill, apparently he refuses to go to the Rockets even if Howard is traded there.

Good for him :)

A lot of people here want him to end up on another team besides NJ, so they can say both, "I knew he'd jump ship for a contender" and "KOC is a genius". Me personally, I'm totally fine if he wants to sign a 5 year deal for a crappy team in the East.

Haha and then ironically neg reps me for my "opinion". Atta'kid.

(ps- STILL never neg replied anyone on here.)

I feel your pain brother. When things don't go his way, Cy would just neg rep you.

Message to Cy: You've got to stop this bro. We all enjoy our back and forth with you and it's all good fun. But to neg rep someone just because they don't agree with you and things start to not go your way is call BULLYING. And that just ain't right.

To Bodhi: I don't have a lot of rep left but you can have some of mine... :)

Is the Rocket's GM trying to out-Billy King Billy King?

Read that sentence twice if you have to, no grammatical errors there

calling the minny trade stupid discounts a decent bit of draft history that shows that #18 doesn't always get you great stuff. budinger might not be a transcendental talent, but he is good enough to be a role player in the NBA and a decent percentage of guys picked 18th (over half, per 82games.com) can't say that.

and who cares what we call his position? in the NBA today, most teams put out two wings. chase is a wing. problem solved.

as for al, i really don't think he nets us a lottery pick unless we're taking bad salary in return. he's an expiring, so a decent part of the value proposition there is the financial flexibility. which is why any team discussing al for a 1-10 pick is going to want to dump some bad contracts back our way. and by bad contracts i mean length of years.

@WojYahooNBA: Detroit has traded Ben Gordon and a protected future first-round pick to Charlotte for Corey Maggette

Depending on that protection, great trade for the Pistons. They just have to eat a year of Maggette, who may not be bad if Detroit can actually compete for a playoff spot.

Bobcats get the clone of Kemba Walker for 2 more years on a ****ty contract. Only way it's worth it is if they get a lottery pick from Detroit next year.

Yep, they just want draft picks.

it's a future pick from detroit, and i'm sure it comes with the usual year-by-year protections. so i'm not sure there's any value.

but mostly i'm referring to the fact that maggette was an expiring contract, which means the two best things you can do are use him as a trade chip to get an obvious upgrade OR let him expire and suddenly you are in a better cap position. they did neither -- ben gordon is less efficient, smaller, and plays worse defense, and now they have to pay him 25.6M over the next two seasons.

duh. rebuilding 101.

People who cry about getting neg repped are the most annoying people, next to the people who act like they are on a high horse of coolness because they don't neg rep anybody.

am i the only one on this board that doesn't care about "rep" at all? i think actual respect matters way more, and i would much rather have someone say "wow, great point, your comments are valuable" than get repped. who cares?

It's fun if you don't take it seriously. Some people get really offended when you nep them, which is always funny.

Just curious if this exchange has caused you to get negged ..

No. Most of the people I tend to argue with are usually against neg repping it seems. Whenever I get in arguments with NAOS, he just reps me (positive) even after I neg rep him. That always makes me mad though, so I will give him credit.

I did that 'to' you before, as well.

In the playground the bully never feels any guilt or remorse. You can't control other people's feeling. But you sure can make them feel good about themselves rather than feel crap.

I'll leave it at that.
