Utah Jazz Summer League Topic

The goal of summer league isn't to win but that's no excuse to look this bad in these 3 games. Minus Lyles I can't definitively say any one else on the Jazz roster deserves to get paid to play basketball (d-league or euro) although I am happy Threebor is showing range and might be worth a longer look.

Bolomboy I WAS excited when the Jazz drafted him and thought he might look a bit underwhelming in these games but he's been down right disappointing, he should have the one skill of rebounding but the Jazz and him are consistently getting out rebounded, they don't play defense, they don't shoot, they do turn it over a lot but that's not something you want to be good at, oh and they are good at letting the other teams score on them... oh wait that's not a good thing either.

Bolomboy can't get out of his own way. He's pressing too hard and letting every mistake stick with him. You can see it in his body language. Not the same player I saw in college.

Bolomboy simply needs to play defense and box out on every play and good things will happen.

I like the kid...he has good handles and is a very good passer. He reminds me of a less athletic/less explosive Lebron James.

Pleiss did fine. Lyles did OK. Beyond that the team is the bad news bears. It appears all of our second round picks have holes, huge holes in their game. Bolomboy looks totally lost. Wallace can't shoot and Paige just looks like crap. Perhaps the Jazz can suggest they head to Europe like Hanlan. Yesterday Traveon Graham a training camp invitee had a 20 plus point game in Orlando and fromer Jazzman Kevin Murphy scored in double figures and their team is undefeated.

Yeah, I doubt we will sign any of our second round picks this year.

If anyone interested in watching Kosta Koufos' Greek team in action it is on ESPN 3. Semifinals of Olympic Qualifying Tournament. They are playing Croatia. Croatia killing them right now.

I tend to agree. I thought Bolomboy would get better, but he always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. When he is in position though he usually gets the rebound, just always out of position and his offensive instincts aren't very good either. I say send him overseas and see what happens. I still think Pleiss is a bust even though he had a flurry of points last game. He's a 7-3 guy who plays 6-7 but with slow reflexes and little foot speed.

Greek Freak and Boom Bitches out of Olympics.

As a Vegas local, I'm usually pretty excited to see something in person from the Jazz at the summer league. Not so much this year. Think I'll save money by staying home and just streaming the games instead.

Same here, I have gone the last 2 years but I don't think I'm want to watch what we have this year

Oh and as far as tomorrow's game at 4pm MT I see it broadcast on WAS CSN channel and that's it, looks like it's online after that (ESPN or "other Streams") as far as I can tell, anybody else find something different?

I have to agree. They are very bad. I was looking forward to see Bolomboy but he has been a disappointment. And Tibor was just as bad as I expected.

Tibor rebounding has been disappointing and about what I expected defensively but he has been pleasant surprise in his shooting, thus far, but yeah he's not exactly an exciting style of a player to watch.

Woods (out of UNLV) on PHI seemed to play better and with more energy in that one game on Thur then any Jazz big so far this summer league.

I second this. It does not appear NBA TV is showing this at all. :(
