I've watched Lowry a ton, cuz 90% of the games on TV here are Raptors games.

Trust me, Conley is the best of this lot. Go for him in a sign-and-trade if we have any doubts with our PGs by next offseason.

Trust me he says. Lolololololololololll

No.

Doing a sign and trade for a 29 year old Conley at the beginning of next season is one of the worst ideas I've seen on here.

He's an unrestricted free agent. So we don't need to give up anything for him if we want him. And we dont. He's good, but he isn't 5 year max money good. Plus we'd have to give up assets in a sign and trade. Also, it severely hampers who we can re-sign. I don't want Conley being one of our big 3. Which is all we will afford in the future. The Miller's aren't paying the tax. Certainly not for him.

So according to Dala in this thread and that Dr Jones one.

We should trade two first rounders to sign and trade Conley to a 5 year max deal when he is 29. While having to give up one of our current big 3 because we won't be able to afford all of them, when they re-sign. So basically we trade. Hayward, 2 firsts, and cap space to be stuck with a 30+ year old overrated non all star Conley.

Dalamon you are brilliant. No. I will not trust your crappy opinion.

What about my 3 way trade idea from the other thread.

Boston gets Manimal
Utah gets Thomas
Denver gets Burke, a first, a second.

I agree with Jarrett Jack being a good fit. He'll play defense, is big, doesn't shoot too much and is realistic.

Calderon as well as a guy who can and will facilitate, pass first, take care of the ball, knock down the 3 accurately and is realistic without giving up much.

Schroeder would be ideal, Atlanta isn't trading him. Hill, I believe would cost more than he's worth to the Jazz, otherwise he's a great fit. I tend to think Beverly falls into that category as well.

But ultimately, I'm perfectly fine with the baking the cake irt the PG situation. Just like last year, have Burke come off the bench, with Neto taking the place of Dante as the defensive minded starting PG who lets those who are good offensively do their thing.

Kendall Marshall is a name being tossed around. I would love his play making with the starting unit.

Who's giving up the 1st?

I'd rather have Faried put of that trade tbh. Even though he duplicates Booker pretty much.

But I'd say no to Thomas. He sounds like a locker room cancer from what I've heard. I do like his skillet though. So I guess it's a matter of whether or not he's really a bad guy to have on the team. I like the idea of having an extra small guard. It can be useful I think.

He a good cook?

I would say a trade for Hill is the perfect fit for both teams. I think the Pacers are realistic about where they are as a franchise. Larry Bird is a bright guy. I think he'd love Burke's mentality and Lyles would fit with Myles Turner as their front court of the future. Which would allow them to leave PG13 at the 3. Pacers would be looking at a down year, but as of now I don't know if anybody is picking them to even make the playoffs. I think that Bird would try to take advantage of the Exum injury and try to squeeze picks out of the deal. But if making the Playoffs is a priority Hill is by far the better option over Exum, Cotton, Neto, or Burke at least based on where I project them to be next season.

Boston should they are getting the best player and they have picks to give up. Don't like Thomas, how about Bradley. Either player is worth Burke and a second imo. I think this works out for each team. There are a good set of options in a Boston, Utah, Denver trade. I think something could get done.

I'm not sure who I'd want that we could realistically get. But probably George Hill. Whenever I see the Conley's name being thrown around my first reaction is to jump on board. I really like Conley, but he is gonna get a ton of money this coming off season. With his age and upcoming contract he doesnt really fit with the Jazz. I can't wait for the day when the Jazz have an above starting PG

There is no way we get Hill without overpaying, but he is the only one on the list I am interested in. I suspect Indiana would want Burks or Hood over Lyles. . .

Yeah we aren't trading lyles. Hill is 29 years old.

Nobody knows what DL will do and I certainly don't think Lyles is untradable. It would depend on what the team wants. If they want to start winning now it's an ideal situation even before Exum's injury and especially now after. Right now Hill is a superior player to Exum and it isn't even close and again this was before the injury. If anything the Pacers are the ones who'd likely say no IMO.
