The only way I would agree is if Chicago agreed to continue paying his contract 100%. Obviously the jazz would be hung up on real fast but that’s the only way I do that.
This is also the flattest draft I’ve ever followed but probably doesn’t extend to 29/32. So maybe in a weird way that makes 11 more valuable? I’m just rambling here, but it feels like the hits from this draft are gonna mostly be ****ing random so 10/11 are actually pretty nice slots (and probably better than a single top-3 pick). It is possible that a straight up trade for JC x2 if I'm being honest. Depends on what you feel about Key/Sexton. After sleeping on it, I don't think Sexton/Lavine is as much of a disaster as people make it out to be.
If JCx2 is indeed more desirable salary, I think 11 for 29/32 makes decent sense. Two "fake" first rounders has been shown to be able to get into the middle of a normal draft. I'm not sure how 2 real late 1st/early 2nd stack up to 2 fakes, but it's got to be reasonably close. In a bad draft 11 is still more valuable than 29/32 but probably not by as much as you'd might think.
IMO, this is a salary dump for Chicago. Neither Collins, nor Clarkson have crippling contracts, but Lavine’s could be - depending on his health. If I’m the Jazz I ask for Ayo and a swap of 31 for 11 (fully understanding that it likely gets moved to 29 for 11) plus a future 2nd round picks and/or international prospect to throw away in some other deal later.Jazz would have to get #11 pick for #29 and/or #32 also
I’d still want to keep either 29 or 31. I think there’s going to be at least one surprising guy to fall and the Jazz should have the opportunity to grab him when it happens. This is also the flattest draft I’ve ever followed but probably doesn’t extend to 29/32. I want to take a flier on Chomche at 32.IMO, this is a salary dump for Chicago. Neither Collins, nor Clarkson have crippling contracts, but Lavine’s could be - depending on his health. I'm good with him at 32. He's the type of guy that we should be taking a flyer on.I want to take a flier on Chomche at 32.
It's not a tuma!!!All their picks and Ayo,and that's not gonna happen. If this Lavine thing happens, Ainge has to be checked for brain tumor

We don’t have enough roster slots to develop everyone on the same timescale. If he’s a G-League project that doesn’t pan out after 2-4 years, well, that’s the expected outcome on a 2nd rounder.I would be physically ill if we wasted any pick on Chomche.
With the NBA Africa Academy getting better and better we are going to get better prospects in his ilk and there are better prospects (Bona and Missi) than him in the draft now. I just don't see him as having any standout skill or attribute that would make me want to invest 4 years into making him playableWe don’t have enough roster slots to develop everyone on the same timescale. At least he has some very desirable attributes to start with that could be very valuable if he pans out. Say he has a 10% chance of panning out vs a 30% chance a 3&D wing pans out (that’s high), is a 5-position/rim defender that can spread the floor more than 2x as valuable? Generally, yes, easily.
IDK.
From everything I saw, Lauri and Zach were friends and at least on the surface enjoyed playing together. Nothing has come up since from Lauri that suggested otherwise, at least that I'm aware.By the way, anyone have any idea what the nature of the dynamic is between Lauri and Lavine?
Can we just sign Luke Kennard and an older vet to lead?
Start Key-Sexton-Lauri-Hendricks-Kessler?
Have major minutes carved out for Kennard with the starters but still give starters minutes to Sexton to let him burn so we can flip him or see if this lineup is starting to work.
Dump Clarkson. Let Collins kick rocks.
The roster is like a collection of broken toys
