What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

The Magnificent Seven.

I'm not usually a mainstream movie-goer, but we were bored yesterday and took a chance on it. It didn't disappoint-- highly entertaining, well-acted, maintains a sense of apprehension throughout, tons of Old West action, etc. If you're looking for something brainless-but-not-brain-dead, I recommend it.

Think I loved it, was funnier than I expected and surprisingly emotional.

Movie was awesome.

Just watched it cause of your reviews.

It was good. But it was the biggest wtf movie ever. Had a lot of funny stuff in it. I wish the ending was a little different though.

I saw The Accountant last night. I really enjoyed it. Stupid as **** at points, hell the whole premise is basically stupid as ****, but it was great popcorn entertainment.

This is going to quietly be a very good year at the movies I think. There are a good 10-15 movies I want to see that have yet to come out, many of which will be BP Oscar noms or damn close.

The Eye in the Sky

Watched this last night ... wow pretty good actually. Taut all the way. Went very quickly too. It's about how drone attacks are used as remote warfare against terrorism today. I think it's better than 'Zero Dark Thiry', still not quite as good as 'Hurt Locker' though, but definitely right up there in terms of tension/quality of production and acting.

If you're interested about how today's army operate and organises drone attacks then this is a good 1 to go and watch.

Lots of big name stars: Helen Mirren, Allan Rickman (one of his last films I think), Aaron Paul (one of the best cinematic performances not counting Breaking Bad), this movie showed me he is versatile.

Gets a 4.5/5 from me.

Never saw any previews for Arrival or heard anything about it but on rotten tomatoes it has over 50 reviews so far and is at 100% so far. Plus I like Amy Adams.
Looking forward to that one

I typically stick with directors for my flicks. Arrival's also directed Prisoners and Sicario.

Amy Adams is DECENT Saw Girl on a Train on the weekend, really well made very true to the book.

Sicario was okay. Some sick aesthetics and good actors and actresses, but the characters were awfully written. Why do they do what they do? No growth or change with any of them. That was the most disappointing thing.

It was a pretty average movie with nice production values.

I'm thinking about going to see it next week, LOVED the book, but yeah, not sure how it'll translate to the movie... do you think it's worth going to see or just wait for the dvd?
