Who will have a worse record than the Warriors?

Vegas says that seven teams are worse than the Warriors (Pistons, Wizards, Kings, Raptors, Cavs, T-Wolves, Bobcats) and three are equally bad (Sixers, Bucks, Pacers).

Kings +15000 +15000 0.4%
Wizards +15000 +15000 0.4%
Pistons +20000 +17500 0.3%

I don't know how sixers will turn out to be, but i believe Pacers and Bucks are much better. At least one of them is gonna make playoffs in my opinion

chicago, boston, orlando, miami, atlanta, nets, knicks and either pacers or bucks

The Warriors were what, like 10th or 11th from the bottom? They haven't lost anybody important from a team that won 36 games. Who knows about the Mark Jackson effect, but I like their chances to stay above 7. I think we get the pick.

No way the Pacers are anywhere near the 7th worst team in the NBA next year. Right now I see them potentially being the 4th seed (Miami, Chicago, Boston...) in the east.

So are there 7 teams worse than the Warriors as of now? The TWolves, Nets(maybe), Cavs, Raptors, Bobcats, Bucks, and Pistons? I am really unsure about how this will eventually play out.

Golden State won 36 games last year. They're bringing back the same team. Ellis, Curry, and Lee are pretty legit. Wright is a question. But they're not doormats.

I agree. I think the bigger concern is that they may be good enough to make the pick around 14/15.

I think our best case scenario would be for them to start off well, and then maybe run into injuries about halfway. I have no doubt they will tank if they realize they're out of the playoff hunt. We just need that to happen late enough where they come up short at about the 8-10 pick.

They now have Jackson as their coach... I am still curious whether that will hurt them enough to fall into that 1-7 range.

It's a delicate balance. But they're a lot more talented on paper than: Minny, Sacramento, Phoenix (who will trade Nash for sure), Cleveland, Toronto, Washington, New Orleans, and Detroit. Charlotte and Milwaukee are hardly great challengers to their throne of suckitude. So that's 10 teams I expect them to be better than. Jersey and Houston will probably be better.

We'll see how it goes. But GS is a lot better than what I'm reading in this thread.

I think the Hornets are definitely worse. They are very young, and will be loaded with D-Leaguers.

That makes Cleveland, Minnesota, Detroit, Toronto, Charlotte, and New Orleans as near locks to have worse records which outs the Warriors right at 7, so we just need one more team to be down to almost guarantee getting pick in this coming draft.

If the Warriors are anywhere close to 7th or 8th worst in the league, they will definately tank to keep that pick. We need them to be a decent enough that they hope for playoffs.
